Ever leave a conversation and immediately think…

“Well. They know WAY more about me than they needed to.” 😅

Oversharing happens. Sometimes it’s anxiety. Sometimes it’s loneliness. Sometimes you just really, really want to feel understood. Let's talk about oversharing...

Oversharing can be connected to anxiety, loneliness, or a need to feel understood. Learn what may be behind it and how therapy can help you build healthier boundaries.

Therapy isn’t always about me giving you the “right” answer. In fact, sometimes the most helpful thing we can do together is ask a better question.

Instead of, “How do I make this go away?” we might ask:

What is this feeling trying to tell me?
Why does this situation affect me the way it does?
What keeps bringing me back to this pattern?
What do I actually need right now?

Therapists are not here to tell you how to live your life or hand you a list of answers. We're here to help you slow things down, get curious about what’s happening, and understand yourself a little better.

Sometimes, finding the answer starts with asking a question you’ve never thought to ask.

Listen to the way you speak to yourself after something goes wrong. Is the mistake really as big as your mind makes it seem? Would you speak to your daughter, your sister, or your closest friend that way? Probably not.

We often extend patience to everyone except ourselves. Somehow, we believe our own flaws deserve harsher judgment.

A healthy boundary can help lower stress, protect your time and energy, prevent resentment from building, and give you more space to focus on the things that matter to you. It can also help you notice when you’re saying yes because you genuinely want to or because you feel guilty saying no.

Maybe your boundary is not answering work messages after dinner. Perhaps it’s telling family you need more notice before making plans. It can even be as simple as asking for help instead of trying to handle everything yourself. Or maybe it’s recognizing when a conversation has become unhealthy and stepping away.

The hard part? Boundaries can feel uncomfortable at first especially if you’re used to keeping everyone else happy.

Take a minute today and ask yourself: Where am I feeling drained, resentful, overwhelmed, or stretched too thin? There may be a boundary hiding in that answer.

Need a little help figuring out how to set healthy boundaries? Let's talk https://www.innerpeacecounselingservices.com/

Reminder ‼ You don’t have to start over just because it’s Monday.

If last week didn’t go the way you hoped, you don’t need to “get back on track” overnight. Take a minute to think about what actually helped you feel good, what drained you, and what you want to do differently this week.

Maybe that means👇

• Putting one thing on your calendar that you’re actually looking forward to
• Saying no to something you don’t have the energy for
• Taking a real lunch break instead of working through it
• Getting outside for 10 minutes
• Going to bed a little earlier
• Checking in with someone you trust
• Giving yourself permission to have a slower day

You don’t need a perfect week. You don’t need to fix everything today. Start where you are. Take care of what needs your attention. Let the rest wait.

Sometimes being emotionally exhausted looks pretty ordinary.

You’re more irritated than usual. You can’t decide what you want for dinner. You see a text and don’t have the energy to answer it. You’re not necessarily sad. You just feel…nothing.

It’s easy to brush those things off because they don’t seem like a big deal.

If you need support, we're here for you! https://www.innerpeacecounselingservices.com/

August is , and we think mental health deserves a bigger place in that conversation. 💙

Wellness isn’t just about the food we eat, the workouts we do, or the habits we build. It’s also about how we feel, how we handle stress, and how we care for our minds.

Your mind deserves the same care you give everything else.

Therapy isn’t only for the moments when life feels overwhelming. It can be a space to better understand yourself, work through challenges, build healthier patterns, and create more peace in your everyday life.

This month, take a moment to check in with yourself. How are you really doing?

Your mental health matters and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Reminder: nobody lives inside a highlight reel!!

When you stop measuring your life against someone else's carefully chosen moments on social media, you create space to appreciate your own.

That doesn't mean pretending everything is wonderful. Some seasons are genuinely difficult. Positive thinking isn't about denying reality. It's about refusing to let one difficult moment define the whole picture.

Whether it’s trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or ongoing health challenges, stress doesn’t just stay in your mind—it can affect your whole body and your daily life. Forgiveness doesn’t mean “it was okay”. This is one of the biggest misunderstandings.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened didn’t matter. It doesn’t mean you forget. And it doesn’t mean you have to trust someone right away again.

It usually means: “I don’t want this to keep hurting me the same way anymore.”

Therapy gives you space to sort it out.

Forgiveness is something a lot of people talk about, but it’s not easy in real life. Most people don’t walk into therapy ready to forgive. They walk in hurt, tired, and stuck in what happened. That makes sense. You don’t have to rush forgiveness In therapy, we don’t force forgiveness. We start ...
