With Charlotte students heading back to school today, we’re heading out to deliver this month’s boxes to some of our amazing community partners.

This one was especially fun to put together… and may have brought back a little lunchbox nostalgia along the way. 😊

Last night, 2nd Family Charlotte hosted our first networking happy hour… and it was a success! 🥂💙

Thank you to everyone who came out to connect, catch up and spend the evening with us, and a special thank you to our amazing co-host, Amanda Padilla with Prime Senior Placement of Charlotte , for helping us bring it all together!

We love being part of Charlotte’s senior care community and bringing together people who share the same goal: helping local seniors and their families. Already looking forward to the next one!

CNA Orientation Day! 💙💚

A great group today as we welcomed some of our newest caregivers to 2nd Family Charlotte — plus a special visit from our RN Care Coordinator, Sebastian!

We put a lot of time into making sure our CNAs feel prepared, supported and connected to our team before they ever walk into a client’s home. Because great care starts with a great team.

Excited to have this group with us and ready to see the difference they’ll make for our families!

A safer transition home starts with a plan. 💙

We’ve been busy putting resources into the hands of Charlotte & Union County families navigating that sometimes-overwhelming transition home after a hospital or rehab stay.

Our Safe Transitions Program gives our CNAs additional training and a clear plan for supporting clients during those important first weeks home — and our new Discharge Support Checklist gives families a simple place to start.

Because getting home is one thing. Staying home safely is the goal.

We’re revisiting some of the questions families ask us most after a hospital or rehab stay.

Two we hear often: Can’t our family just handle it ourselves? And will accepting help mean giving up independence?

The right support at the right time can actually help someone stay safer — and independent — at home longer.

That’s also why we have a Safe Transitions program, with additional training for our CNAs focused on helping clients safely transition home after a hospital or rehab stay.

Great people, great conversations…and apparently some really great mac & cheese!

We had an amazing time at today’s All About Seniors Southern Lunch Bunch, connecting with others in Charlotte’s senior care community and continuing to build the relationships that help us better serve local families.

And according to Nate, the mac & cheese at The Smoke Pit at the Arboretum is officially one of the best he’s had in Charlotte!

Thanks to everyone who helped bring today’s Lunch Bunch together. We’re grateful to be part of such a connected senior care community! 💙

One of our favorite parts of what we do is recognizing our incredible caregivers. 💙

Yesterday, Nate surprised Raeven after her overnight shift with breakfast and recognized her as our July Caregiver of the Month.

Raeven consistently goes above and beyond for the families she serves. She shows up with compassion, professionalism, and a willingness to go the extra mile every single day.

Caregivers like Raeven are the reason families trust 2nd Family, and we’re incredibly grateful to have her on our team.
