Haus Haven Collective was proud to join CareBuilders at Home and Canary Tech & Safety for an afternoon focused on helping individuals stay safe, independent, and confident in the homes they love.

Each of our organizations brought a different perspective to the conversation—from home safety and accessibility modifications, to in-home care and support, to technology designed to provide additional safety and peace of mind.
A huge thank you to everyone at the Bailey’s Glen community who joined us, asked questions, shared their experiences, and made us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed the conversations and the opportunity to connect with such an engaged community.

And a special thank you to CareBuilders at Home and Canary Tech & Safety for partnering with us. We love bringing together local resources that can make a meaningful difference for individuals and their families.

Our own Sean Spillman will be speaking at "Planning for Tomorrow: Parkinson's and Home Safety," part of the Living Well With Parkinson's community series alongside Gillian Schultz of the Parkinson Association of the Carolinas Friday September 25

A big thank you to the SANDRA AND LEON Levine Jewish Community Center and Jewish Family Services for hosting and for the work they do for this community every day. Lerner Hall is a special space, and we're honored to be invited into it.

We'll be talking through fall prevention, practical ways to stay safe and independent at home, and the local resources families may not know are available to them.

We had such a great time supporting Pickleball for Parkinson’s hosted by Vitality PT!!! Being surrounded by such an uplifting and strong community reminded us exactly why we do what we do at Haus Haven Collective.

Watching individuals come together to play pickleball was inspiring. The strength, resilience, and joy in that space was something special.

Meet Our Expert!

Joua Spillman, OTR/L, OTD, Co-Founder & Doctor of Occupational Therapy at Haus Haven Collective, a company dedicated to helping individuals live safely, independently, and innovatively within their own spaces through comprehensive home health assessments, personalized product solutions and home modifications. With a decade of clinical experience, Joua has worked closely with individuals navigating neurological conditions, chronic illness, acute injuries, musculoskeletal limitations, and age-related changes. Through years of patient advocacy and meaningful outcomes, Joua has helped hundreds of individuals safely return home from the hospital—an experience that revealed her true passion: improving quality of life beyond the hospital bed.
