Ahhhh, there’s nothing like the calm confidence of HypnoBirthing families 😌

HypnoBirthing gives you and your birth partner the opportunity to slow down, connect, and learn tools that can help you approach birth feeling relaxed and prepared.

Together, you’ll practice relaxation, release fears and limiting beliefs around birth, learn how your mind and body work together, and discover ways your partner can be an active part of your birth experience.

Preparing for your baby’s birth isn’t something you have to do alone. You can prepare for it together. Next session is in November… see you there 😉

If you haven’t already popped in for a yoga class, therapy session, comfort measures class, etc. NOW is the time!!

It feels like walking in as a stranger and somehow leaving with your people.

It feels like being able to show up exactly as you are whether pregnant, postpartum, exhausted, overwhelmed, excited, nervous, laughing, crying, or all of the above.

It feels like women cheering for women. Like finding the people who get it without needing a long explanation.

It’s yoga, birth support, education, friendship, coffee-fueled conversations, belly laughs, vulnerable moments, and probably a group chat you didn’t know you needed.

The Light House is more than a place you come to.

This is a true knot — an actual knot formed in the umbilical cord during pregnancy.

True knots are uncommon, occurring in approximately 1-2% of pregnancies. They can form when the baby moves through a loop of cord, essentially tying the cord into a knot. They are more likely to occur when there is more room for the baby to move, such as with increased amniotic fluid or a longer than average umbilical cord (that’s what this mama had!) Alex has encapsulated hundreds of placentas and never seen a true knot!!

Not every true knot causes a problem! Many remain loose and have no effect on the baby whatsoever. However, a knot can tighten as the baby moves or as the cord is stretched during labor. If it becomes tight enough, it can potentially restrict blood flow and oxygen between the placenta and baby. In this instance- the Wharton’s Jelly did its job and kept the baby safe!

Seeing something like a true knot is such a beautiful reminder of just how much happens throughout pregnancy that we may never see. Thank you for allowing us to share your special cord Juliet Maureen 💕

• Postpartum Yoga – for new moms and babies
• “Average Joe” Yoga – no experience, no flexibility, no problem. Just come as you are.
