31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting
Day 25
Confident In What God Started In You
The Meaning of Philippians 1:6
Theme: God Will Finish What He Started in You
Philippians 1:6 (KJV) says:
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

What Does Philippians 1:6 Mean?
Philippians 1:6 is a promise of God's faithfulness. The Apostle Paul expressed confidence that the God who began a good work in the lives of believers would continue working in them until His purpose was fulfilled.
This Scripture teaches us that God does not abandon the work He begins in us. Even when we experience difficulties, make mistakes, or feel as though we are not growing spiritually, God continues to work in our lives as we trust Him and cooperate with His will.

Let's examine three important truths in this verse.
"Being confident of this very thing”
Paul had a strong assurance that God was faithful.
Confidence in God means trusting His character, His promises, and His ability to accomplish what He has purposed. Our confidence is not based on how strong we feel, how much we understand, or how perfect we are. It is based on who God is.

How To Apply It: When you feel uncertain about your future, remember that your circumstances do not change God's faithfulness.

"He which hath begun a good work in you”
God is the initiator of the spiritual work taking place in our lives.
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, God begins transforming us. He develops our faith, renews our minds, shapes our character, teaches us obedience, and prepares us to fulfill His purpose.
The good work includes our spiritual growth, our becoming more like Christ, and our participation in God's work.
How To Apply It: Do not despise your beginnings. You may not be where you want to be spiritually, but God can continue developing you through His Word, prayer, correction, and life experiences.

"Will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”
The word perform in this verse means to bring the work to completion.
God is committed to continuing His work in the believer. Our spiritual development is a process. We learn, grow, mature, and become better equipped to live according to God's will.
The phrase “until the day of Jesus Christ” points to Christ's return and the ultimate completion of God's saving work in His people.
How To Apply It: Do not give up on the process. When you encounter challenges, remember that God is still able to develop your faith and mature your character.

What Does This Scripture Teach Us Today?
Philippians 1:6 gives us at least five lessons:
God is faithful. He can be trusted to fulfill His purposes.
Your present condition is not your final destination. God can continue transforming your life.
Spiritual growth takes time. Maturity develops through faith, obedience, and perseverance.
Your mistakes do not have to define your future. Turn to God, receive His correction, and keep walking with Him.
You can live with confidence. Your hope rests in God's faithfulness rather than your own perfection.
For those serving in ministry, this verse is especially encouraging. God continues to develop the character, wisdom, patience, and spiritual maturity needed to serve His people. Leadership is not only about what God calls us to do; it is also about what He is developing within us.

Practical Example:
Imagine a person who has been called to serve God but feels inadequate because there is still so much to learn. That person may struggle with fear, make mistakes, or become discouraged when progress seems slow.
Philippians 1:6 reminds that person:
“God is still working on me. I have not reached spiritual maturity, but I can continue trusting Him, learning His Word, obeying His direction, and allowing Him to shape my life.”

The goal is not to use God's faithfulness as an excuse to remain unchanged. It is to find encouragement to keep growing because God is at work in us.

A Short Devotional:
Title: God Is Not Finished With Me
Scripture: Philippians 1:6
There are times when we look at our lives and see what still needs to change. We recognize our weaknesses, remember our failures, and wonder whether we are making enough progress. But Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God is still working in us.
The same God who called us, saved us, and began His good work in us remains faithful. He is developing our faith, strengthening our character, and teaching us to depend on Him.
We must not confuse a season of growth with a season of failure. Sometimes God uses difficult experiences to teach us patience, humility, wisdom, and obedience. Although we may not understand every step, we can continue trusting the One who sees the beginning and the end.
Today, refuse to give up on the work God is doing in your life. Keep praying, keep believing, keep obeying, and keep growing.

Declaration of Faith: God has begun a good work in me, and I will trust His faithfulness as He continues to shape my life according to His purpose.

Prayer Based on Philippians 1:6:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for beginning a good work in my life. Thank You that Your faithfulness does not depend on my perfection. Help me to trust You through every season of growth and every challenge I encounter.
Continue to develop my faith, strengthen my character, renew my mind, and guide my decisions. Give me patience when progress seems slow, humility when You correct me, and courage when I feel inadequate. Help me to cooperate with Your will and remain faithful to the calling You have placed upon my life.
I believe that You are able to complete the good work You have begun in me. I surrender my life, my plans, and my future to You. Let my life bring glory to Your name until the day of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Final Thought:
Philippians 1:6 is a reminder that God is both the Author and the Finisher of the good work He begins in us. You do not have to be perfect today to trust Him with your tomorrow. Continue walking with Him, and allow Him to complete His work in your life.

Praying for you and family today and always! Keep those praise reports coming!
Peace and Blessings

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting Day 24The Fear Of God Is Strong Confidence The Meaning of Proverbs 14:26“Confidence in God...
10/24/2026

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting
Day 24
The Fear Of God Is Strong Confidence
The Meaning of Proverbs 14:26
“Confidence in God Brings Security to Your Family”
Proverbs 14:26 (KJV) says:
“In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.”
What Does This Scripture Mean?
Proverbs 14:26 teaches us that when we reverence God, trust His Word, and live according to His ways, we develop a deep confidence in Him that provides spiritual security for our lives and our families.
This verse connects two important truths: confidence in God and a place of refuge for His children.

"In the fear of the Lord”
The fear of the Lord does not mean living in terror of God. It means having a deep reverence, respect, and honor for Him.

It means recognizing God as holy, obeying His Word, seeking His wisdom, and allowing Him to direct our decisions.

Application: When we honor God in our daily lives, we develop a relationship with Him that strengthens our faith and guides our conduct.

"Is strong confidence”
When we reverence God, we can develop a strong assurance that He is trustworthy.

Our confidence is not based on everything going right. It is based on knowing that God remains faithful even when life becomes difficult.

When we face uncertainty, we can trust His wisdom.
When we experience trouble, we can seek His help.
When we feel weak, we can depend on His strength.
When we do not understand what is happening, we can continue to trust His character.

Application: Our confidence comes from who God is, not merely from what we see or feel.

"And his children shall have a place of refuge”
A refuge is a place of safety, protection, and shelter. This verse describes the blessing that flows from a life rooted in reverence for God.
It also emphasizes the importance of creating a godly environment for our children and families through prayer, biblical instruction, godly example, and faithful living.

This does not mean that believers and their children will never experience hardship. Rather, God is the One we can turn to for help, wisdom, comfort, and strength in times of trouble.

Application: One of the greatest spiritual legacies we can leave our children is an example of faith, obedience, and confidence in God.

What Is the Central Message?
The central message of Proverbs 14:26 is that reverence for God produces confidence in Him, and a life built on that confidence provides a spiritual foundation of security for the family.

We cannot control every circumstance that enters our homes, but we can establish our homes on the principles of God's Word.

A parent who prays, lives faithfully, demonstrates love, and teaches God's truth helps establish a legacy that can guide future generations.

Practical Lessons for Today
Trust God daily. Do not allow fear to become greater than your faith.
Honor God in your decisions. Let His Word guide your choices.
Pray for your family. Bring your children's needs and concerns before the Lord.
Be an example of faith. Let your family see your trust in God through your actions.
Build your life on God's promises. Remember that your security begins with Him, not with favorable circumstances.

A Short Devotional
Title: Strong Confidence in God
Scripture: Proverbs 14:26
Devotional Thought:
God desires for His people to live with confidence rooted in His faithfulness.

Proverbs 14:26 reminds us that reverencing the Lord establishes a foundation of spiritual strength and security.
There is a difference between confidence in ourselves and confidence in God. Self-confidence depends on our abilities, resources, and experiences. God-centered confidence depends on His wisdom, power, and unchanging character.

When we put God first, we learn to face life's challenges with faith instead of allowing fear to control us. Our relationship with God also influences those around us, especially our children and families. Our prayers, our conduct, and our commitment to His Word can help establish a godly legacy.

Today, choose to honor God, trust His direction, and make Him your refuge. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can place your confidence in the One who does.

Declaration of Faith: My confidence is in the Lord. I will honor Him, trust His Word, and establish my life and family on His truth. God is my refuge, my strength, and my sure foundation.

Prayer Based on Proverbs 14:26:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for being my refuge and my strength. Teach me to reverence You in everything I do. Strengthen my confidence in Your Word, especially when I face uncertainty, adversity, and difficult decisions.
Help me to live in obedience to Your will and to be an example of faith to my family and those around me. Cover our homes with Your peace, guide our children in Your truth, and give us wisdom to walk in Your ways.
Lord, let our confidence rest not in our own abilities but in Your faithfulness. May our lives bring You honor, and may future generations learn to trust You through the example we set today.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Final thought: Proverbs 14:26 reminds us that when God is honored in our lives, confidence becomes our strength, faith becomes our foundation, and His presence becomes the refuge to which we turn.

Praying for you and your family today and always!
Peace and Blessings

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting Day 23Blessed Is The One Whose Confidence Is In The Lord The Meaning of Jeremiah 17:7Theme...
10/23/2026

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting
Day 23
Blessed Is The One Whose Confidence Is In The Lord
The Meaning of Jeremiah 17:7
Theme: Blessed Is the Person Who Trusts in the Lord
Jeremiah 17:7 (KJV) says:
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.”

What Does Jeremiah 17:7 Mean?
Jeremiah 17:7 teaches us that a person who places their trust and confidence in God is blessed. This blessing comes from depending on God's faithfulness rather than allowing circumstances, people, or fear to determine our confidence.

To trust in the Lord means to believe that God is faithful, His Word is true, and His wisdom is greater than our own. Even when we do not understand what God is doing, we can remain confident that He is worthy of our trust.

The central message is this: When God becomes the source of your trust and hope, your circumstances do not have to control your faith.

Three Important Lessons From This Scripture:
1. Trust God above everything else.
People may disappoint us, opportunities may disappear, and situations may change. However, God remains faithful. Jeremiah reminds us to build our confidence on the unchanging character of God rather than on things that can change.
Proverbs 3:5 says: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

2. Make God the source of your hope.
Hope in God means expecting Him to remain faithful, even when the answer to our prayers has not yet appeared. Our hope is not based on everything going according to our plans; it is based on knowing that God is trustworthy.

3. Understand that trusting God brings spiritual stability.
The next verse, Jeremiah 17:8, compares the person who trusts in the Lord to a tree planted by the waters. Even when heat comes and drought occurs, the tree continues to flourish because its roots reach a dependable source of water.
In the same way, a believer who trusts God can remain spiritually grounded during seasons of difficulty.

How Can We Apply Jeremiah 17:7 to Our Lives?
When you face uncertainty: Trust God even when you cannot see the outcome.
When people disappoint you: Remember that your ultimate hope rests in the Lord.
When you experience hardship: Continue praying, believing, and obeying God's Word.
When you are called to lead others: Make decisions through prayer, biblical wisdom, and faith rather than fear.
When you feel discouraged: Remind yourself that God's faithfulness is greater than your present circumstances.

A Practical Jeremiah 17:7 Example:
Imagine a person facing a difficult season in ministry or in family relationships. There may be disagreements, unexpected challenges, or moments when the future seems uncertain. That person has two choices: become consumed by worry or continue trusting God for wisdom, direction, and strength.

Jeremiah 17:7 encourages that person to remain faithful, pray for guidance, and refuse to let difficulties destroy their confidence in God.

Trusting God does not mean that we will never experience trouble. It means that trouble does not have to separate us from our hope in Him.

A Prayer Based on Jeremiah 17:7:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for reminding me that I am blessed when I put my trust in You. Help me to depend on Your wisdom rather than my own understanding. When I face uncertainty, strengthen my faith. When people disappoint me, remind me that You are faithful. Let my hope remain in You regardless of what I encounter. Establish my heart in Your Word and teach me to walk confidently in Your promises. May my life demonstrate what it means to trust You completely. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A Declaration of Faith According to Jeremiah 17:7 -
“I am blessed because I trust in the Lord. My hope is in Him, my confidence is in His Word, and my faith is not controlled by my circumstances. I will continue to believe God, follow His direction, and stand firmly on His promises. The Lord is my source, my strength, and my hope!”

Final thought: Jeremiah 17:7 reminds us that the greatest blessing is not simply having everything we desire. It is having a dependable relationship with God, knowing that we can trust Him through every season of life. When our trust is rooted in the Lord, we can face tomorrow with faith, peace, and confidence.

Praying for you and your family today and always!

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting
Day 22
The Service Of Righteousness Brings Confidence
Isaiah 32:17
“The Work of Righteousness Shall Be Peace”
Isaiah 32:17 (KJV) says:
“And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.”

What does this Scripture mean?
Isaiah 32:17 teaches us that when we live according to God's righteousness, His righteousness produces peace, security, and confidence in our lives.

God's righteousness means living in agreement with His character, His Word, and His ways. When we allow God to direct our thoughts, decisions, attitudes, and actions, we begin to experience the peace that comes from walking in His will.

Let's look at three important truths in this verse.
1. “The work of righteousness shall be peace.”
Righteousness produces peace. When we seek to do what is right in God's sight, we promote peace rather than confusion, division, bitterness, and strife.

This does not mean that righteous people will never experience trouble. It means that we can have peace with God and seek to live peacefully with others, even when circumstances are difficult.

Application: Before responding to conflict, ask yourself, “Am I responding in a way that honors God and promotes peace?”

2. “The effect of righteousness [shall be] quietness.”

Quietness refers to a state of calm, rest, and freedom from inner turmoil. It describes a heart that does not have to be controlled by fear, anger, or anxiety.
When we trust God's wisdom and follow His direction, we can learn to remain spiritually settled even when life becomes unsettled.

Application: You do not have to respond to every argument, fight every battle, or prove every point. Sometimes righteousness is demonstrated through patience, restraint, and a quiet spirit.

3. “And assurance for ever.”
Assurance means confidence, security, and a sense of being firmly established. As we walk in God's ways, we can have confidence in His faithfulness and trust that He will never abandon His purposes.

Our assurance is not based on the absence of problems. It is based on the unchanging character of God.

Application: You can face tomorrow with confidence because your security rests in God, not in people, positions, or circumstances.

What does Isaiah 32:17 teach us spiritually?
This verse reminds us that:
Righteousness produces peace. Doing what is right before God helps cultivate peace in our hearts and relationships.
Peace produces rest. We do not have to live in constant turmoil when we entrust ourselves to God.

God's faithfulness gives us assurance. We can remain confident in Him through changing circumstances.

Our character influences our environment. When we practice justice, integrity, patience, and compassion, we help create peace wherever God has placed us.

For a pastor, ministry leader, or believer, this Scripture is a reminder that spiritual leadership should be marked by righteousness, peace, and godly confidence—not confusion, division, or unnecessary strife.

A practical example:
Imagine someone speaks unfairly about you or challenges your leadership. You have a choice: respond with anger and retaliation, or respond with wisdom, truth, prayer, and self-control.

Choosing the righteous response may not immediately change the other person's behavior, but it allows you to guard your heart and honor God.
That is one way the work of righteousness produces peace.

A Devotional Thought:
Title: Righteousness Produces Peace
Isaiah 32:17 reminds us that peace is more than a feeling; it is also the fruit of living in alignment with God. When we choose truth over deception, forgiveness over bitterness, humility over pride, and obedience over disobedience, we make room for God's peace to govern our hearts.

We cannot always control what happens around us, but with God's help, we can control how we respond. Righteousness does not promise a trouble-free life, but it directs us toward a life grounded in God's truth and faithfulness.

Remember: When you walk in God's righteousness, you can stand in His peace, rest in His presence, and trust in His promises.

Prayer based on Isaiah 32:17:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, help me to walk in Your righteousness every day. Purify my heart, guide my decisions, and teach me to respond to others with wisdom, love, and integrity. Remove every spirit of confusion, bitterness, and strife from my life. Let Your peace rule in my heart and Your wisdom direct my steps. When circumstances become difficult, give me a quiet spirit and unwavering confidence in Your faithfulness. Let my life reflect Your righteousness and become an instrument of peace wherever I go. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflection question: What is one area of your life where God is calling you to practice righteousness so that you can experience and promote His peace?

Praying for you and your family today and always!

10/22/2026

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting
Day 21
Speak God's Word With Confidence
The Meaning of Acts 4:31
Theme: When the Church Prays, God Responds With Power
Acts 4:31 (KJV) says:
“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”

The Background of Acts 4:31
The believers in the early church were facing threats and opposition because they were preaching about Jesus Christ. Peter and John had been arrested and warned not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.
Instead of allowing fear to silence them, the believers gathered together and prayed. They asked God to give them boldness to continue proclaiming His Word.

God answered their prayer by filling them with the Holy Spirit and empowering them to speak with courage.

What Does Acts 4:31 Mean?
"And when they had prayed” — Prayer invites us into God's presence.
The believers understood that their strength did not come from human ability but from God. They united in prayer because they needed divine help to fulfill their assignment.
Lesson: When challenges arise, prayer should be our first response, not our last resort.

"The place was shaken” — God's presence demonstrated His power.
The shaking of the place was a supernatural sign of God's response to their prayer. It demonstrated that the Lord was at work among His people.
This does not mean that every prayer meeting will produce a physical shaking. Rather, this event reminds us that God is powerful and able to work beyond what we can see or understand.

Lesson: When God moves, He can transform our circumstances, strengthen our faith, and change our perspective.

"They were all filled with the Holy Ghost” — God empowered His people.
The Holy Spirit strengthened the believers for the work God had called them to do. They needed more than human courage; they needed spiritual power.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit enabled them to stand firm despite threats, opposition, and uncertainty.

Lesson: We cannot successfully fulfill God's work through our own strength alone. We need the Holy Spirit to guide, empower, and sustain us.

"They spake the word of God with boldness” — God's power produces courageous witnesses.
The believers did not allow fear to stop them from sharing the truth about Jesus. Their prayer did not remove every challenge, but it strengthened them to face those challenges faithfully.

Biblical boldness is not arrogance or disrespect. It is the courage to stand for God's truth with faith, love, and conviction.

Lesson: When God strengthens us, we can speak the truth, stand for righteousness, and fulfill our calling even when it is difficult.

How Does Acts 4:31 Apply to Us Today?
Acts 4:31 teaches us four important principles:

Pray together: Unity in prayer strengthens the body of Christ.

Depend on the Holy Spirit: God's work requires God's power.

Refuse to be controlled by fear: Opposition does not have to silence our testimony.

Speak God's Word boldly: We must remain faithful to our Christian witness in our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities.

For church leaders, pastors, chaplains, and ministry workers, this verse is a reminder that we need God's presence and power to serve people effectively. We must be willing to pray, receive God's strength, and speak His truth with compassion and courage.

Practical Example:
Imagine a pastor who must address a difficult situation in the church. There is disagreement, tension, and fear about what may happen next.
Rather than reacting out of frustration, the pastor gathers the leaders to pray. They ask God for wisdom, unity, and courage. As they pray, their hearts are strengthened, their faith is renewed, and they become better prepared to speak truth in love.

The situation may not change immediately, but the people are strengthened to face it God's way.
That is one way we can apply the principle of Acts 4:31: prayer prepares God's people to act with spiritual courage.

Prayer Based on Acts 4:31:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, fill us afresh with the power of the Holy Spirit. As we gather in prayer, strengthen our faith, unite our hearts, and remove the fear that prevents us from fulfilling Your will. Give us boldness to speak Your Word with wisdom, grace, and conviction. Help us to stand firm in times of opposition and remain faithful to the calling You have placed upon our lives. Let Your presence be evident in our homes, our churches, and our communities. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Main Message of Acts 4:31:
When God's people pray in unity, the Holy Spirit strengthens them to speak and serve with boldness.
The greatest lesson is not simply that the building shook. It is that the believers were empowered to continue God's work despite the opposition they faced.

Remember: Prayer connects us with God, the Holy Spirit empowers us, and boldness enables us to fulfill our assignment.

Praying for you and your family today and always!
Peace and Blessings

10/20/2026

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting
Day 20
Have Confidence To Ask God Anything
The Meaning of 1 John 5:14
Theme: Confidence in Prayer — Knowing God Hears Us
1 John 5:14 teaches us that we can approach God with confidence because He hears us when we pray according to His will.
The verse says in the King James Version (KJV):
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.”
1. “And this is the confidence that we have in Him”
This means that our confidence is rooted in God, not in ourselves, our circumstances, or our feelings.
As believers, we do not have to approach God with fear or uncertainty about whether He is willing to hear us. We can pray with faith because we know His character. He is faithful, loving, and trustworthy.
Lesson: Our confidence in prayer comes from knowing the God to whom we pray.
2. “If we ask anything according to His will”
This means that our prayers should align with God's desires, purposes, and Word.
God invites us to bring Him our needs, concerns, hopes, and desires. However, prayer is not about forcing God to do what we want. It is about trusting Him enough to surrender our requests to His wisdom.
For example, we can pray:
“Lord, give me wisdom to make the right decision.”
“Father, help me forgive those who have hurt me.”
“Lord, strengthen me to fulfill Your purpose for my life.”
“Father, let Your will be done in my life.”
Lesson: Effective prayer involves both asking God and trusting His will.
3. “He heareth us”
This is a powerful assurance! God hears the prayers of His children when they come to Him according to His will.
Sometimes God answers immediately. At other times, His answer may require patience, spiritual growth, or a change in our circumstances. His answer may be different from what we expected, but we can continue trusting His wisdom and faithfulness.
God's silence does not necessarily mean His absence, and a delayed answer does not mean He has rejected us.
Lesson: We can pray with confidence because God hears us, even when we have not yet seen the answer.
What does 1 John 5:14 teach us today?
Pray with confidence.
You do not have to be afraid to approach God. Come to Him in faith and sincerity.
Pray according to God's Word.
Allow Scripture to shape your requests, your attitudes, and your expectations.
Wait with trust.
Do not allow waiting to destroy your faith. Continue to trust God's wisdom and timing.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the confidence I have in You. Thank You that I can come before Your throne in prayer, knowing that You hear me. Teach me to pray according to Your will and to trust Your wisdom when Your answers differ from my expectations. Strengthen my faith while I wait, and help me surrender every concern to You. May my prayers honor Your name and fulfill Your purpose for my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A declaration of faith:
“I will pray with confidence because I know God hears me. I will align my requests with His will, trust His wisdom, and remain faithful while I wait for His answer. My confidence is not in what I see, but in the God who hears me!”

Remember: 1 John 5:14 is not a promise that God will grant every request exactly as we desire. It is an assurance that we can approach Him confidently and trust Him as we pray according to His will.

Praying for you and your family today and always!
Peace and Blessings

10/19/2026

31 Days Of Prayer and Fasting
Day 19
God's Love Gives Confidence
The Meaning of 1 John 4:17
Theme: Made Perfect in Love and Confident in the Day of Judgment

1 John 4:17 (KJV) says:
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”

1. “Herein is our love made perfect”
This means that God's love is being fully developed and demonstrated in our lives. As we grow in our relationship with God, His love teaches us how to love Him, love others, forgive those who hurt us, and show compassion even when it is difficult.

Perfect love does not mean that we never make mistakes. It means that God's love is working in us, maturing our character and changing how we live.

Spiritual lesson: The more we understand God's love for us, the more His love should be seen through us.

2. “That we may have boldness in the day of judgment”
This speaks of the confidence believers can have when standing before God. Because Jesus Christ has saved us and we abide in His love, we do not have to live in constant terror of the coming judgment.

Our confidence is not based on our own goodness, accomplishments, or perfection. It rests in Jesus Christ, His saving work, and our relationship with Him.

Spiritual lesson: When we belong to Christ, we can approach God with confidence rather than being controlled by fear.

3. “Because as he is, so are we in this world”
This means that believers are called to reflect the character of Jesus Christ in their daily lives. Just as Jesus demonstrated love, compassion, holiness, truth, and obedience to the Father, we are to demonstrate those qualities in the world today.
We are not equal to Christ in His divine nature. Rather, through our relationship with Him, we are being transformed to reflect His character.

Spiritual lesson: Our lives should give others a glimpse of the love and character of Jesus.

4. What does this verse teach us today?
Love replaces fear: God's perfecting love helps us live with confidence in Him.

Love changes our character: We should become more patient, forgiving, compassionate, and gracious.
Love produces confidence: We can trust Christ rather than depend on our own righteousness.

Love must be visible: Our faith should be demonstrated through how we treat people.

Love prepares us for eternity: Our relationship with Christ gives us hope as we anticipate standing before God.

A practical example:
Suppose someone mistreats you, speaks against you, or disappoints you. Your first reaction might be anger or a desire to retaliate. But as God's love matures in you, you begin to respond differently. You pray, establish healthy boundaries when necessary, refuse to seek revenge, and allow God to guide your response.

That is one way the love of Christ becomes visible in your life. You are allowing His character to shape your conduct.

Short devotional: “Confidence Through Perfect Love”
Scripture: 1 John 4:17
God does not want His children to spend their lives controlled by fear. He desires us to grow in His love until our hearts are established in the confidence that comes through Jesus Christ. Perfect love is not merely something we talk about; it is something God develops within us.

When His love matures in us, fear no longer has the final word. We learn to trust His promises, extend grace to others, and live in a manner that reflects the character of Christ.
The question is not simply, “Do I say that I love God?” The question is, “Can people see God's love through the way I live?”

Remember: God's love gives us confidence before Him and calls us to demonstrate Christ's character before the world.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your perfect love. Continue to mature Your love within me so that I may live without being controlled by fear. Give me confidence in Jesus Christ and help me reflect His character in my words, thoughts, and actions. Teach me to love others with patience, compassion, forgiveness, and truth. May my life demonstrate that Christ lives in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

In one sentence: 1 John 4:17 teaches us that as God's love matures in our lives, we gain confidence in Christ concerning the day of judgment and become better reflections of Jesus in the world today.

Praying for you and your family today and always!
Blessings
