Going places in 2027.

After five years of waiting for my green card.

Three years of waiting to ride this c**t.

Ten plus years of being in awe of equine osteopathy but convincing myself I wasn’t good enough.

Ten plus years of being on the sidelines at cow horse shows but believing I wasn’t brave enough.

Twenty plus years since showing all around and believing it wasn’t cool enough .

Now I’m finally in a place to say thanks but no thanks to the inner voice that was trying to keep me safe. The feelings of embarrassment and shame keeping me from what I really want.

My practice will keep evolving as I do. My osteopath education begins in January. My plans for horse shows are going to depend on my horses, but I hope to be in the VRH pen and hit some big shows. Mostly I plan to keep enjoying this horse show life I’ve been waiting and waiting for.

I get asked the question of “do you do chiropractic” at least once a week. It doesn’t bother me that people ask, it bothers me that there are people out there doing it without the license, training and insurance to cover their ballsy ass if it inevitably goes wrong.

Evening session with one of my dearest Alberta friends in one of my favorite Alberta barns.
This horse earns his keep and has a great treatment plan in place already with chiropractic & veterinary work. Getting some soft tissue work to help facilitate even better adjustments was the goal of our session. Focused on diaphragm work, pecs, and way deep into the adductors, hamstrings and hocks. This incredibly hard stopping , big hearted gelding uses himself hard and gives his all. It was fun working on him and giving funny Huey a Bemer session as well!
