Margaret Hackett Family Program We currently have collaborating research sites located in Los Angeles, CA, Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, and Portland, OR.

The MHFP aims to provide compassionate patient care, resources in support of community and education for both patients and their families, and steps in advancing the research and recognition of CNS anomalies such as Hydrocephalus, Chirai and more! The Margaret Hackett Family Program (MHFP) is a donor-funded program, established and supported by individuals who can appreciate the physical, developm

ental, and emotional challenges that children and adults may experience with congenital anomalies of the central nervous system. Common Congenital Anomalies:
- Chiari Malformation
- Craniosynostosis
- Syringomyelia
- Spina Bifida
- Hydrocephalus

The MHFP can help you by:
• Finding and connecting you with the correct physician for you or your child.
• Connecting you or your child’s care to other physicians or medical centers.
• Identifying supportive services that are available through the University of Chicago Medicine and partner organizations.
• Answering any questions or concerns you may have. The MHFP has also established a network of medical experts who are committed to the care of children and adults with congenital CNS anomalies, supporting innovative research initiatives that explore options for better care and treatment of these conditions.
