I HAVEN’T BEEN ENTIRELY HONEST WITH YOU
- by Miranda Hart
This is another phenomenal book that I’m proud to say that I’ve read and is in my permanent library. I gladly give it five stars and make no apology for my thoughts and opinions.
This book resonated with me from the very beginning. We had similar symptoms, misdiagnoses, and length of time undiagnosed. We both experienced a traumatic crash to our health, and we shared the same diagnosis - LYME DISEASE (p. 107).
The similarities didn’t end there. After seeing that conventional medicine hadn’t changed her situation, Miranda chose to embrace an holistic approach. She shares what she’s learned, researched, and experienced with her reader chums. You can definitely feel her love, care, and humility throughout her journey and the pages of the book.
Everybody has a story, and everybody deserves to have their story told.
What happens when you hit rock bottom? You let go and surrender.
What happens when you stop fighting your body? “What if the only way out was to see what I might learn by facing the mystery of all I was feeling head-on?”
Each chapter contains treasures she picks up, patterns she smashes, and a watchword (which are quite reminiscent of the Fruitage of God’s Spirit - Galatians 5:22,23).
Some of the helpful techniques that Miranda uses are: feeling & processing emotions, journaling, dismantling negative thoughts with The Five Questions, laughter, nature, play, The Five Whys, and so much more.
This book doesn’t just speak to the chronically ill. Miranda’s lessons might just help all of us who’ve become so stressed and disconnected from ourselves, so that we might listen to the whispers of our minds & bodies before we ultimately crash. There’s real value in that!
Thank you, Miranda, for sharing your experience. I know I’m not alone, and now others who desire might possibly understand what I endure.
