Have you ever feel like burnout keeps changing its game, showing up in new ways every day? It’s fascinating how it affects each of us uniquely, so here are three simple tips to recharge and recover:

🎧 Listen to Your Inner Rhythms: Tune in to your body and mind. Recognize when you need a break and honor that need without guilt.

💐 Nourish Your Soul: Engage in activities that bring you joy and replenish your spirit. Whether it’s a walk in nature, cozying up with a book, or connecting with loved ones, prioritize self-care.

💌 Reframe Your Inner Critic: Challenge that inner critic telling you to push harder. Instead, practice self-compassion and celebrate your progress, no matter how small.

Remember, recovery from burnout is a journey unique to you. Take it one step at a time, and know that you’re not alone. 💜

How connected are your children?

Not as in “how many people do they follow on social media,” but rather in the sense of connecting and having a deep relationship with people in real life.

Loneliness in young people is associated with worse mental health, self-harm, compulsive use of cellphones, later school dropout, and unhealthy choices such as smoking.

How can you support your child in feeling less lonely and more connected?

Are you should-ing all over yourself?

"I should be happier," "I should be healthier," "I should be better."

Should-ing all over yourself is like a finger-wagging at you, saying you are not good enough. It causes you distress and makes your self-worth go down, which may also cause many problems in your life.

Do you want more control over your life and boost your self-esteem? Change your "should" to "would like."

For example, instead of saying things like, "I should be happier," try saying, "I would like to be happier."

Take these steps to empower yourself and live a life that makes you happy.

According to a report by Reuters, Emma Raducanu says she sometimes wishes she had not won the US Open when she was 18.

How can that be possible?

Despite the initial elation of her Grand Slam victory, Raducanu reports it has been challenging, "Since then, I've had a lot of setbacks, one after the other. I am resilient, and my tolerance is high, but it's not easy… I had to mature very quickly. "

We all have goals we want to achieve, whether it be personal or professional. Many of my clients are extremely successful, yet they are searching for more, thinking it will come from outside.

In reality, they truly want to find what I call the True Success Formula: Passion x Purpose x People.

Passion entails positive energy, even during challenging times. It includes staying out of the psychological Red Zone.

Purpose encompasses finding meaning and fulfillment.

People refer to optimizing social relationships.

Young people and adults would benefit from incorporating these three variables.

How do you bring passion, purpose, or good relationships with people in your life?

One way is to socialize. Now, socializing can be stressful for many people, but it is also one of the ways to relieve your stress. Spending time with family and friends brings comfort and support. It helps you share your thoughts and enjoy activities that provide relaxation and a sense of belonging. Prioritize these connections and embrace the warmth and love they bring.

Make managing your stress a regular habit you incorporate into your daily life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Summer is an opportune time to address your child’s mental well-being.

With school out for the summer and, at least for most, extra-curricular activities decreased, the summer is a great time to help our children boost their mental well-being.

Like optimal physical health is about regularly implementing healthy habits, it is also vital to forming healthy habits to boost mental well-being.

Please don’t wait for your children to develop a diagnosable disorder, such as depression or anxiety, to help them with their emotional health.

One of the best things you can do for your children is to provide them with the skills to make their minds work for them instead of against them. When I work with young people, they learn to identify their thoughts, make sure those thoughts are accurate and helpful, and ensure that they are keeping their minds healthy. This includes skills (yes, they are skills!) such as resilience, growth mindset, and hope, all of which predict current and future success.

What’s one thing you can do this summer to help boost your child’s mental well-being?
