What does your relationship with money feel like?
Six years ago, at the beginning of the pandemic, I found myself $35,000 in consumer debt. I was stressed, worried, and couldn't figure out how to make payments that would actually make a dent.
So I started learning. I spent hundreds of hours exploring ways to get out of debt, build savings, and create a financial future for myself.
The first thing I discovered? I didn't actually have a clear picture of what money I had or where it was going.
That realization started a journey that changed not only my finances, but my relationship with money.
I learned to create systems, make intentional decisions, and talk openly about real numbers with a community of people on their own money journeys.
And something unexpected happened: my anxiety decreased, and I felt more freedom to create the life I wanted.
This is where money and the nervous system intersect.
Money is connected to our sense of safety, security, and future. When we feel overwhelmed, anxious, or threatened, it can be hard to think clearly, see our options, or take action.
Add in the money messages we absorbed growing up, the things we learned to hide, and the complexity of the financial systems we navigate—and it's no wonder so many of us avoid looking at our finances.
But what if we approached money differently?
What if we learned to stay present with the numbers, work with the anxiety that comes up, build systems that support us, and make intentional choices about where our money goes?
I'm calling this Nurturing Money: developing a healthier relationship with money while building the practical skills to help it support the life we want to live.
✨ I'm now offering individual two-hour Nurturing Money sessions, combining somatic work with practical money planning. Together, we'll explore what's happening in your nervous system around money, get clearer about your financial picture, and identify meaningful next steps toward your goals.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by money, avoiding your finances, or ready to approach them differently, reach out to me to learn more.
