✨ Reminders During This Holiday Season ✨

The holidays can bring moments of joy, connection, and celebration—but they can also stir up stress, grief, pressure, or emotional exhaustion. Whatever this season brings for you, your mental and emotional well-being matters.

Gentle reminders to care for yourself:
• It’s okay to set boundaries around your time, energy, and commitments
• You don’t have to attend every gathering or meet every expectation
• Rest is productive—slow moments are allowed
• Stay connected to supportive people, even in small ways
• Keep routines that ground you: sleep, movement, nourishment, and quiet time
• Make space for feelings as they come, without judgment
• Ask for support when things feel heavy—you don’t have to carry it alone
Self-care doesn’t have to be elaborate. Sometimes it’s a deep breath, a walk, a warm drink, or giving yourself permission to pause.

At RiseWell Therapy and Consultation, we understand that the holidays can be complicated. We’re here to offer support, comfort, and a safe space—during this season and beyond 🤍
You deserve care, compassion, and connection.

Terence McKenna’s words challenge us to reflect on the world we’ve created and the choices we make as a society. Despite having the tools to create a better world—resources, knowledge, and compassion—too often we allow those with the least vision and wisdom to lead us. This quote serves as a reminder that true progress doesn’t come from wealth or power alone but from those who are willing to think beyond the status quo and work towards a collective good. 🌍💭

✨ Our thoughts don’t define who we are—they’re just passing through. When we learn to notice them without attaching, we create space for peace, clarity, and growth. ✨

✨ New week, fresh start. Every Monday is an opportunity to realign with your goals, reset your mindset, and remind yourself that growth is always possible. Take this week one step at a time—you don’t have to have it all figured out, just keep moving forward. 🌿💫

💭 Did you know your brain actually changes when you practice how you respond to anger?

When we give into anger outbursts, the part of the brain that manages emotion regulation becomes cloudy for hours—making it harder to think clearly, problem-solve, or reconnect with calm.

But here’s the good news: when we resist the urge to lash out and instead pause, breathe, and choose a different response, it’s like exercising a muscle in the brain. Over time, that “muscle” gets stronger. 🌱

The result? More resilience. More emotional flexibility. More power to stay grounded even when emotions run high.

At RiseWell Therapy & Consultation, we believe resilience isn’t about never feeling anger—it’s about training your brain to work with your emotions instead of being ruled by them.
🌿 How to Practice Resisting the Anger Impulse 🌿

✨ Pause before reacting. Even a 3-second pause can shift your brain from impulse to intention.

✨ Name it to tame it. Saying “I feel angry” helps your brain move from reactivity to awareness.

✨ Breathe it out. Slow, deep breaths calm the nervous system and clear mental “cloudiness.”

✨ Change your state. Step outside, stretch, or splash water on your face—small actions reset your brain.

✨ Practice consistently. Every time you resist an outburst, you strengthen your brain’s ability to stay grounded.

💭 Growth doesn’t happen overnight. But with practice, your brain learns to stay clearer, calmer, and more resilient.

• You’ve survived every hard day before this one
• Rest is not a weakness
• Emotions don’t need fixing—they need space
• You are still growing, even when it feels slow

Feeling unmotivated doesn’t mean you’re failing.
Sometimes, your nervous system is just asking for rest.
Sometimes, your body is processing something you haven’t put words to yet.
And sometimes, it’s enough to just be — and try again tomorrow.
