Hey y'all! It's the lady who puts the T in Mama T's Apothecary.

A lot of you are trying really hard to take control of your health holistically and are turning to herbal medicine.

Herbal medicine is not a one size fits all practice. Yes, certain herbs target certain symptoms, but you run into the same problems if you keep treating symptoms and don't get to the root of the problem.

Good Sunday morning good people. I'm going to answer a few questions in this post that I have gotten from a few people.

1. What is it that you do? Currently I make and sell products like elderberry syrup, fire cider, cough syrup and sleep tonics. I also make custom formulas for those who have issues outside of this with consultation.

2. What is a consultation? I'm not a medical doctor. I'm a clinical herbalist. As such, before creating a custom formula or making recommendations I sit down with you and establish the issue you're seeking treatment for, your medical and medication history. I take all of these things into consideration and create a plan of care that can include formula recommendations, lifestyle changes and advice for how to move forward with your physician.

3. Do you replace our doctors? That's not the intention. My belief is that herbal medicine and western medicine can work in synergy. The plan is to integrate with your current doctor and work together to achieve the best overall care for you.

4. Do you have a website? I do not have a website. I don't do social media marketing and here's why? I am healer. and my intent and purpose is to do that. The people who need what I offer will find me. I do not want to sell myself and convince people that they need me. The Internet is flooded with people selling herbal products and books and it can overtake your purpose trying to stand out instead of just "standing out."
