Unlike a maze, a labyrinth isn’t designed to confuse you.

Its purpose is simpler.

To walk.
To notice.
To pause.
To return.

For centuries, labyrinths have been used as places of reflection and pilgrimage.

This Saturday, 6/20, we’ll explore this ancient practice together. 🌀

I wanted a place to move a little more slowly than social media allows.

A place for reflections on soul friendship, grief, nervous systems, forests, labyrinths, seasons, and the quiet art of paying attention.

So I’ve started a Substack for Thresholds of Self.

My first piece begins with an old Irish phrase that means “soul friend.”

If any of this sounds familiar,

come walk with me.

As we approach the Summer Solstice, you’re invited to slow down and step into a different rhythm.

Join me for a guided small group labyrinth walk designed to support reflection, nervous system regulation, and greater awareness of what may be unfolding in your life.

The labyrinth offers a structured path inward: a chance to pause, listen, and create space for what is asking for attention.

🌞 Summer Solstice Labyrinth Walk 🗓️Saturday, June 20th 🕘 9:45 AM – 11:00 AM 📍 The Center 12700 Southwest Highway Palos Park, IL 60464

A small number of spots are available to support an intimate and reflective experience.

If you’re feeling drawn to this gathering, I’d love to have you join us.

Not staying forever.

Not forcing yourself
to push through.

Just staying
a few moments longer
than you normally would.

Long enough
to notice what is actually there.

Long enough
for something to shift
without being forced.

This is where change begins.

After moments of expansion,
there is often a quiet shift.

Something begins to open
and just as quickly,
something in you pulls back.

Not because it isn’t right.

But because it’s unfamiliar.

The instinct is to return
to what is known.

To step away
at the exact moment
something begins to change.

Most people don’t notice this.

But this is where the pattern lives.

At this turning of the wheel, we arrive at a living threshold.

Beltane is not just a celebration of fire and bloom. It is an invitation to step fully into the self that has been quietly forming beneath the surface. The one that asks for expression, for courage, and for embodiment.

In Thresholds of Self, we honor these moments of crossing: the space between who we were and who we are becoming. Today, that crossing is alive with warmth, desire, and possibility.

What part of you is ready to be seen? What truth is asking to be lived out loud?

Light a fire, within or without, and let it be a signal: you are allowed to emerge.

🔥 Step forward.🌸 Take up space.🌿 Become.

Bloom this Beltane. 🌷
