Give it up for our Instructor of the Month from the month of July, Coach Angel! Here’s a little bit about him💪🏼💪🏼:

1. I’m from San Diego born and raised!

2. My favorite hobby is playing softball.

3. My favorite snack is candy!

4. One fun fact about me is I can run a mile in 4 minutes.

5. I wanted to work here because I had experience with family members within the community, and wanted to contribute my skills set as a baseball coach to pass to the community. Working here at Excel Together, I look forward to seeing the growth in my clients that I help coach.

6. I think what I bring to Excel Together is my knowledge of spots background and my patience.

7. My experience in the neurodiverse field is my family members that I have helped care for, and have been privileged to further my knowledge here Excel Together and with more guidance from my wife that has been involved with the community for years as a ABA therapist and respite worker.

🧩 Our sensory gym space is the largest of our three facilities and includes something for each person. From swings, to ball pits, to climbing walls, to monkey bars to soft play; each person finds the spot that is perfect for them. We have clients from SDRC, charter schools and private pay. Austin, we could not be more proud to be a part of your racing journey. What started as a DM over 9 months ago has developed into a friendship and a partnership that we are excited to continue for years to come. Your dedication to the sport of racing and the work that went into getting you to this point is remarkable. We were overjoyed to be a part of your racing debut and proud to have our logo on the side of the truck you were driving. You are a class act and a true example that chasing your dreams will always be worth it. You give your all to everyone around you and we hope you are able to take a breath, celebrate your 17th place finish and feel all the love and support of those around you. Enjoy a day filled with community, activities, and excitement as we officially open our doors. We are especially thrilled to welcome NASCAR Truck Series driver Austin Varco, who will be joining us for this special celebration! Austin Varco is the first openly diagnosed driver with autism in his series’ and is using his racing career as a platform to educate, change stigmas, and create a network of empathy around Autism Spectrum Disorder. Learn more about Austin and his racing career at AustinVarco.com. On Saturday, Austin will have his Truck Series car on the property as well as racing simulators for families to enjoy.

Bring your family, friends, and community spirit as we mark the beginning of something truly special in Spring Valley. Along with Austin Varco, we will have food and craft vendors, The Autism Society sharing resources and information, music and activities and local news coverage of all the excitement.
