Where are my fellow pill organizer users? 🙋🏾♀️💊
Here I am in my nightgown for my monthly ritual of filling up my pill organizer. It's not glamorous. And it's definitely not exciting 😆
But honestly, it helps me so much.
I hear from patients all the time that they don't want to use a pill organizer because it makes them feel old or because it makes them feel like they're taking too many medications.
I get it.
But there is absolutely no shame in using tools that help you optimize your daily routines and your health. 💙
The 5–10 minutes once a month that it takes to do this saves me time and mental energy every single day. I don't have to open multiple bottles every day, wonder whether I took something, or try to remember if I missed a dose.
My pill organizer helps me remember to take my medications. It also helps me see when I've missed doses. Instead of guessing, I can look back and know exactly how often it happened, which helps me improve my own consistency and gives me better information to share with my doctors.
As physicians, we often talk about medication adherence as if it's easy. The reality is that life gets busy, routines get disrupted, and everyone forgets sometimes. Even your doctors! 😊
If a simple pill organizer helps you stay on track, use it. 🙌🏾
