🌾 Part 5 — Boaz Saw Her

Girl, this one is GOOD. ā¤ļø

Ruth wasn’t chasing Boaz. She was being faithful.

She wasn’t trying to get noticed.
She wasn’t manipulating the situation.
She wasn’t wondering, ā€œHow do I make him see me?ā€

She was simply showing up, working hard, caring for Naomi, and honoring God.

And then… Boaz noticed her.

He had heard about her character, her loyalty, and the way she had cared for Naomi. 🌾

Here’s the reminder I want you to carry today:

Stop spending your life trying to be seen.

Be faithful where God has placed you.
Do the work.
Love people well.
Honor God in the little things.

Because God sees you. ā¤ļø

He sees the prayers nobody hears.
He sees the work nobody applauds.
He sees the obedience nobody notices.

And you don’t have to chase what God has already prepared for you.

Let God handle the seeing. You handle the faithfulness. 🌿

🌾 Part 4 — She Went to Work

Girl, sometimes we’re waiting for God to do something BIG… while He’s asking us to simply be faithful with what’s right in front of us. ā¤ļø

Ruth didn’t sit around waiting for her circumstances to change.

She went to work.

She showed up in the fields.
She worked faithfully.
She did the ordinary things right in front of her.

And what Ruth didn’t know was that God was already working behind the scenes. 🌾

She thought she was just gathering grain.

God was leading her into a field that would change her life.

Maybe your season feels ordinary right now.

The job.
The routine.
The serving.
The small steps nobody sees.

Don’t underestimate what God can do with your faithfulness.

Sometimes God is preparing your future in the ordinary work of today. 🌱

So keep showing up.
Keep serving.
Keep doing the next right thing.

Your faithfulness matters—even when nobody is watching.

Girl… watch what you’re saying. šŸ‘€šŸ—£ļø

Because the Bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue.

And sometimes the person we speak the WORST to… is ourselves. 😬

ā€œI’m not good enough.ā€
ā€œI’ll never get it together.ā€
ā€œI’m such a mess.ā€
ā€œI can’t do this.ā€

Girl, would you talk to your best friend like that? Nope. So why are you talking to yourself that way?

We need to start seeing ourselves the way God sees us—loved, chosen, worthy, capable, redeemed, and created on purpose. ā¤ļø

So today, let’s change the conversation.

Speak life over yourself.
Speak life over your people.
Speak God’s truth louder than the lies.

And if you need a little reminder of this one… šŸŽ™ļø go check out this week’s Christie’s Bookshelf!

🌾 Part 3 — Go Where God Leads

Have you ever been in a season where you knew God was asking you to move… but you had NO idea what was next?

Ruth did.

She stepped into an unfamiliar land with no guarantees, no detailed plan, and no map showing her how everything would work out.

She just went.

And I love this reminder from her story:

You don’t need the whole map to take the next faithful step. ā¤ļø

Maybe your next step is uncomfortable.
Maybe it doesn’t make sense yet.
Maybe you’re waiting for God to reveal the bigger picture.

But what if you stopped asking, ā€œGod, show me everything,ā€ and started praying:

ā€œGod, just show me my next step.ā€

Because faith isn’t always knowing where you’re going.

Sometimes faith is trusting Who is leading you. 🌿

Ruth didn’t have the map.

She had faith.

And girl… so do you. ā¤ļø

Girl, don’t let bitterness rename you. ā¤ļø

Naomi had experienced unimaginable loss, and her pain became so deep that she asked to be called Maraā€”ā€œbitter.ā€

But what Naomi couldn’t see yet was that God was already writing a new chapter.

And then Ruth came along. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Sometimes we do the same thing. We allow what happened to us to become who we believe we are.

But your worst chapter is not your identity.

Your heartbreak is not your name.
Your failure is not your name.
Your rejection is not your name.
Your past is not your name.

You are still God’s daughter. And He is not finished writing your story.

Maybe you’re in a bitter chapter right now—but don’t stop reading. šŸ“–

There is still redemption ahead. ā¤ļø

ā¤ļø Part 2 — Your People Will Be My People

Okay girl… Ruth gets me every time. ā¤ļø

She didn’t just choose Naomi.

She chose Naomi’s God.

She said, ā€œYour people will be my people and your God my God.ā€ — Ruth 1:16

Think about that for a minute.

Ruth was stepping into a completely new life, but she wasn’t walking alone. She had chosen a relationship that would point her toward God.

And that’s why who we surround ourselves with matters.

The right people can encourage your faith.
They can pray with you when you’re struggling.
They can remind you who you are when you forget.
They can challenge you to grow closer to Jesus.
They can walk with you through the hard seasons.

God-centered relationships can change the trajectory of our lives. 🌿

So here’s a question for you today:

Who is in your tribe? ā¤ļø

And just as importantly…

Are you being the kind of woman who helps someone else get closer to Jesus?

We weren’t created to do this life alone.

DO IT AFRAID. šŸŽ™ļøšŸ“–

Confidence doesn’t mean you’re never afraid.
Sometimes becoming a confident woman means doing the thing you’re scared to do anyway.

Taking the step.
Having the conversation.
Starting over.
Saying yes.
Trusting God when you don’t know exactly where He’s leading.

You don’t have to feel brave to move forward. Sometimes courage looks like shaking hands and taking the next step anyway. ā¤ļø

This week on Christie’s Bookshelf, I’m sharing more about the books that have challenged me, encouraged me, and helped shape the woman I’m becoming.

ā¤ļø Tuesday Truths — Week 18

ā€œYour God Will Be My God.ā€

Ruth 1:16 is one of those verses that makes you stop and say… WOW. 🌾

Ruth didn’t know what was waiting for her. She didn’t know where this road would lead. She simply chose to stay with Naomi and, even more importantly, she chose Naomi’s God.

Her words were a declaration of faith:

ā€œWhere you go I will go… Your people will be my people and your God my God.ā€ ā¤ļø

And maybe that’s your Tuesday Truth today:

You don’t have to know the whole story.
You don’t have to have every answer.
You don’t have to see what’s around the corner.

You just have to trust the One who is writing it. ✨

Take a few minutes today to sit with Ruth 1:16 using the S.O.A.P. method and ask God:

Where are You asking me to trust You and take the next step?

🌾 Part 1: She Chose to Stay

Girl… let’s talk about Ruth. ā¤ļø

Ruth had every reason to turn around and go back to what was familiar. She had lost her husband, her future was uncertain, and she had no idea what was waiting for her in Bethlehem.

But she chose to stay.

She looked at Naomi and said:

ā€œWhere you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.ā€
šŸ“– Ruth 1:16

WOW. ā¤ļø

Ruth didn’t have a plan.
She didn’t have guarantees.
She didn’t know how the story would unfold.

She just knew God was worth following.

And maybe you’re in a Ruth season right now.

Maybe God is asking you to leave behind what’s familiar. Maybe you’re stepping into a new chapter and you can’t see what’s ahead.

Girl, you don’t need to know the whole story to take the next faithful step.

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stay faithful. 🌾

Welcome to The Ruth Series — Part 1: She Chose to Stay.

Let’s walk through this story together and discover what Ruth’s faithfulness can teach us about our own walk with God. ā¤ļø

You may not know your next chapter, but you can trust the Author.

šŸ“š Books can inspire you… but God’s Word transforms you. ā¤ļø

I LOVE a good book. There are books on my shelf that have encouraged me, challenged me, and even changed the way I see things.

But there’s one Book that doesn’t just inspire me—it transforms me. šŸ™šŸ»

The Bible isn’t just another book on my shelf. It’s God’s Word, His truth, and His love letter to us.

And that’s what Christie’s Bookshelf is all about—sharing the books that have impacted my journey while always pointing back to the One who changes everything. ✨
