Homegrown goodies being put to good use! I made a veggie stir fry to go along side turkey meatballs. And because eating healthy doesn’t mean sacrificing everything….I made a homemade lemon-squash bread using homegrown goodies. Everything was delicious, fresh, and I knew all the ingredients that went into it all.

It’s been a bit since I last posted. I had the procedure on my back and have been focusing on recovery and rest. I started to feel anxious to move again, but I knew it was important to take things slowly and not risk reinjury.

I’m cleared now, and today I eased back in with a gentle, modified workout—some light strength training and a slow, short walk on the treadmill. Nothing long or intense, just an easy, steady pace. It felt like a really good way to reintroduce my body to movement.

I did notice a bit of pain in my lower back and some interesting sensations—almost like a temporary loss of control or strength in my lower back, glutes, and upper legs, likely from a nerve being pinched or irritated—so that was my cue to stop.

I don’t want to hurt myself, but I also know that building strength in a smart, gentle way is essential for healing, bone density, muscle growth, fat loss, hormone regulation, and overall well-being. So I’ll keep moving forward slowly, staying mindful, and listening closely to my body. 💛

Accountability check in! I’m still here still doin’ my thang! Doing what I can within my range with mobility challenges and injuries.

30 min or less per day! That’s all you need!! Today I did a low impact HIIT - 27 active min plus warm up and cool down for total of 30 min - up and down inclines on treadmill with 2.5 ankle weights per leg ✅ - it helps me to have a micro bend in my back which relieves the pinching in my S1-L5. Having the incline forces me to lean forward! It opens up my spine which helps a lot. The ankle weights force my body to activate my muscles and help protect my knees. Just light weights is all you need. It helps so I don’t kick my legs out too far when walking, protecting my knees from overextending.

PT ✅

☑️ 16 hr intermittent fasting was cut down to 14 hours today….I have an appointment and my body felt like I needed food so I ate a little early.

Tracking macros and water ✅

My procedure on my back was rescheduled to tomorrow so I may be off socials for a bit while I recover AND I can guarantee I will be back! Can’t stop won’t stop. Let’s DO this! Toooo easy.

I got a sample of Bloom colostrum & collagen peptides so I decided to try it. It honestly doesn’t have much flavor at all. It blended fine. I prefer my homemade low and slow cooked bone broth though. It’s so yummy and full of nutritional powerhouse goodies. It was still worth trying though. What are your thoughts on this? Have you tried it?
