The Eliza Jennings legacy began in 1888 with the philanthropy of our benefactress, Eliza Wallace Jennings, who intended to care for women of need. Eliza’s legacy of philanthropy and concern for older adults lives today, more than 125 years later, as a cornerstone of our organization and in our mission to serve older adults. With over 90 years of collective experience on our board of trustees, Eliza Jennings’ leadership brings extensive expertise in aging services and understanding to its role and responsibilities as a nonprofit organization.

Every pair of hands holds a lifetime of memories. The newest display at The Renaissance Retirement Campus Independent Living is titled Hands Hold a Story. Artfully crafted, the case features photographs taken and displayed by Resident Service team member Annette M. The photographs of residents’ hands tell stories of their remarkable lives.
Take a moment to read some of the stories, and celebrate the memories, experiences, and lives represented in each photograph. 💙

Sometimes your nursing home cat kills a bird in the courtyard and has sore, swollen teeth. Thanks Roberts & Wendt Animal Hospital for the care and anti-inflammatories for Billy. Fortunately Billy knows he lives at Eliza Jennings Health Campus, where high quality care is expected for all residents, including those of the feline persuasion. He'll be back to being a courtyard menace very soon.

Our Renaissance theater troupe is getting plenty of media attention as they get ready to put on "The Sound of Music" this weekend on a much bigger stage! Break a leg to the amazing cast!!

A retirement community in Olmsted Township has grown its theater production. I was there for their debut three years ago, and recently went back to see how they're now preparing to tour.

Devon Oaks celebrated Mexican culture this week, with a dancer performing the Danza Azteca, a spiritual and meditative dance used to honor ancestors and nature.

Over 150 residents, staff, and guests came together for the Renaissance food show and enjoyed a great selection of delicious treats. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success!
