I am deeply honored and humbled to have been elected President-Elect of the National Medical Association during the Association’s 2026 Annual Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Since joining the National Medical Association as a first-year medical student, this organization has been my professional home. It has shaped me as a physician and leader, introduced me to incredible mentors and lifelong friends, and given me countless opportunities to serve. Being entrusted with this responsibility is one of the greatest honors of my career.
Over the next year, I will serve as President-Elect in preparation for my installation as the 128th President of the National Medical Association next year at our Annual Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, in July 2027.
Thank you to my colleagues for your confidence and trust. I look forward to serving our members, advancing our mission, and improving the health of the communities we serve.
