Throw back Thursday is here!

So were Throwing back to Mardi Gras!! And more specifically the masks!

One of our most popular activities that our members love to do is making these masks.

Whats so good about it? Could it be the plaster on the foarm of a mask? Could it be the fact that they are easy to make? Maybe its the endless possibilities for creating a unique art work???

I don't know the answer.. I forgot to ask the question.... but I do know that this activity is frequently requested! So lucky I will get a second chance to ask "Why do we love the masks so much!"

Recently we have doing a lot of crafts here at the ADC!

We don’t do one thing for long!

From bring life to paper, tissue paper flowers, and painting to flower arranging, tie dye making all the way to flower potting! We cover all the creative bases we can! And we’re far from finished!

What are your favorite crafts to do with loved ones? Tell us so we don’t miss out!

We will craft until we can’t!!!

Art with milk?? What??

That’s right! Today we dabbled in a little bit of science and a little bit of art!

If you take a tray of milk, a skewer, a half a cup of dish soap, and food coloring you can make some neat art!

You need to drop a couple drips of food coloring into the milk, dip your skewer in dish soap, then onto the food coloring and watch the reaction happen!

The dish soap quickly breaks the bonds in the fat of the milk allowing it to separate!

Try it at home with a loved one and tell us how it went!! Remember! Never drink the science! Unless it’s only food science that is.

Thank you for visiting us Immaculata!!! We’re so excited to get to work with you this fall! It was such a pleasure to have you visit with us. We look forward to all the fun that will take place in the fall!

Volunteers today after school formed the maiden voyage for brand new community service programs coming this fall with Courtyard Senior Living and Adult Day Center, a facility in Clinton that opened just around 18 months ago, such a rare golden opportunity to develop our students' programs together with theirs. This is all because one of the present sophomores, Olivia, suggested a visit there and so we just squeezed it in prior to exams Friday. Among the coming highlights: nail painting with residents for afternoon programs & morning sessions with elderly visitors. Immaculata treasures the awareness in our student body and its future leaders and visionaries-- GREAT JOB, Olivia!!

Manicure and Memories Monday!!💅

Our staff is dedicated to serving up the best manicure we can deliver despite opting out of cosmetology!

When it comes to enriching the day’s of our members we pull no punches. No job too big or request too small here. Our staff jump at the chance to roll up the sleeves to make our members smile!

No appointment,payment, or tips necessary! We’re just doing our jobs! That’s just how we roll over at Courtyard’s Adult Day Center!

Together we learn and last week we learned the significance hula dancing has in Hawaii!

While Karly isn’t a seasoned hula dancer she sure does try her best to learn fast and teach with enthusiasm!

While we might not have gotten it right we smiled and laughed and tried something new together!

It just goes to show it’s never too late to live, laugh, and learn!

Courtyard Adult Day Center will be CLOSED on Monday in observance of Memorial Day as we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We wish all of our families a safe, peaceful, and meaningful holiday weekend. ❤️🤍💙

The Center will reopen with normal hours on Tuesday.
