Please join us in celebrating our Adult Day Center Employee of the Month!

As our Transportation Coordinator at Courtyard, Kuadir helps our participants get to and from their day with us safely. But his care and dedication extend well beyond the driver’s seat.

Whether he’s painting nails, helping serve lunch, or keeping a watchful eye at the pool, Kuadir steps in wherever he’s needed. He wears many hats—quite literally—and brings kindness, flexibility, and a willingness to go above and beyond to each one!

Nothing is as refreshing as a homemade 🍋Lemonade🍋

We jazzed up our lemonade with some oranges and limes and it was voted a must do activity by our members!

We worked like an assembly line. Dividing up jobs and taking our time making something yummy! Everyone got a chance to help make a part of the drink and that was so sweet!

If you ask me it was all the love we pored into our work that made it tast sooo great! 😁

Join us at Courtyard for **Conversations That Connect: The Art of Dementia Communication**, an interactive morning designed for caregivers, professionals, and community members who want to better understand and connect with someone living with dementia.

Led by **Jaime Kaeser, Executive Director of Courtyard Adult Day Center, CDP, CMDCP**, we'll explore practical communication strategies you can actually use—while creating space to ask questions, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Here is a Winnie wisdom for you.

"Tough days come and go. Roll in the good days when you can! Try to find the good moments in every day. Even if its cloudy. There is a good patch of grass to roll in somewhere. Even a bug to ponder over. Enjoy the moments you can. And release the bad days like a ball so you can be excited to throw it again!"

Winnie definitely said all of that to me the other day. While I had to listen carefully to translate his barks the message came through as clear as the water in our fountain.

Few things are as special as when maintenance brings you a BRAND NEW wet floor sign. It might be friday but that doesn't mean maintenance will be caught slacking!

Take a walk into the Hunterdon County Library and see the artwork our friends at Courtyard created.

Every painting tells a story. Every brushstroke is proof that a dementia diagnosis does not erase creativity, joy, expression, or humanity.

This project was never just about art. It was about helping our community see dementia differently—through compassion instead of fear, understanding instead of stigma, and connection instead of assumptions.

I’m incredibly proud of our participants, our team (especially Elyssa and Karly who always amazingly execute and understand some of my more creative schemes), and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. I hope everyone has the opportunity to stop by the Hunterdon County Library – North Branch this month and experience it for themselves.

Sometimes the smallest ideas become the ones that matter most.

July may be coming to an end but you can bet we’re not!

We tried different ways of making fireworks and an absolutely epic game of don’t let the balloon touch the ground!

We are looking forward to adding more pool noodles and balloons into our games! We’re probably going to need a referee in the future however…

This is just more proof that happiness is in the heart! It doesn’t take much to bring it out so get silly and have fun!

We got our game on at the ADC yet again with the wonderful students of Immaculata Campus Ministry!

We danced and played the morning away! Time flys fast when you have fun and boy did we have a blast!

While we might all be at different stages in life, a good laugh, and big smiles remind us that you can’t put an age on happiness!

Here at the ADC we dedicate our time to your family members happiness! You can count on laughter and smiles being an absolute must! And Immaculata helps us deliver that promise every single time they visit!

Guess who’s today’s special guest Activities Director? 😄🎉

Our AD is out today, so I traded my administrator hat for my old favorite one and jumped back out on the floor!

Today’s agenda includes bingo calls, lots of laughs, a little friendly competition, and spending time with the people who remind me why I fell in love with adult day services in the first place. ❤️

While my role has changed over the past year, days like today remind me that leadership isn’t just about meetings and paperwork—sometimes it’s about grabbing the bingo tablet, celebrating every win, and making sure everyone has a great day.

Now if you’ll excuse me… N-36! 😉🎲
