Happy Juneteenth National Independence Day!

On this day in 1865, enslaved Black people in Texas finally learned they had been freed more than two years earlier by the Emancipation Proclamation. The day has been a celebration of that freedom ever since, and Juneteenth finally became a federal holiday in 2021.

Ask any American what sets the United States apart and chances are, they’ll say “Freedom!” That’s why here at BestMed Urgent Care Corporate Offices, we’re thrilled to recognize Juneteenth as an important milestone in the fight for freedom and equality for all Americans.

We love our nurses year-round, but May is special. As National Nurses Month, it’s a great time to share why they’re such an important part of our organization!
