Recovery leadership is stronger when we work together ❤️

Grateful to spend time with so many passionate leaders from Recovery Community Centers across the State, sharing ideas, celebrating successes, and tackling the challenges we all face. Every conversation reinforced that collaboration, is how we strengthen recovery for individuals, families, and communities.

When we come together, we don't just exchange ideas, we build partnerships, create solutions, and inspire one another to think bigger. From expanding recovery support services to reducing stigma and increasing access to care, the future of recovery in Idaho is brighter because of leaders willing to work side by side.

I'm honored to represent 208 Recovery and to stand alongside this incredible group of advocates who believe that recovery is possible for everyone.

Together, we're building stronger recovery communities across Idaho, many partnerships, many people, and many communities at a time ❤️

From SBWCC to Statewide Recovery Leadership 💜

In 2018, I met these two incredible women while we were incarcerated together at SBWCC. None of us could have imagined where life would take us.

Today, we're together again but this time, we're attending a Recovery Leadership Retreat as the Executive Directors of three Recovery Community Centers in Idaho. Kamiah, Lewiston and Coeurd'Alene.

What a powerful reminder that recovery changes lives. Our pasts became the foundation for our purpose, and today we have the privilege of helping others discover that recovery is possible too.

Moments like this remind me that people are so much more than the worst chapter of their lives. I'm incredibly proud of these women, the work they're doing in their communities, and the impact Recovery Community Centers are making across Idaho.

This is what hope, perseverance, and recovery look like 💜💜💜

Today, we invite our community to come together in love, remembrance, and hope.

As we prepare for our Overdose Awareness Candlelight Vigil August 31st, we would be honored to recognize those we've lost to overdose. If you have a loved one you would like us to remember,

please send us:
• A clear photo
• Their full name
• (Optional) A short message, quote, or special memory

Their photo will be included in our memorial tribute as we honor their life and remind our community that every person is so much more than their struggle.

Please send photos via Facebook Messenger or email them to [email protected] by August 7th.

Together, we remember. Together, we grieve. Together, we work toward a future where fewer families experience this heartbreaking loss.

💜 Every life mattered. Every name deserves to be remembered.

Every life lost to overdose leaves behind a family, friends, and a community forever changed.

Join 208 Recovery as we come together for our Overdose Awareness Candlelight Vigil to honor those we've lost, support those who are grieving, and stand united in hope for recovery.

Monday, August 31, 2026
7:30 PM
Independence Point | 105 Northwest Blvd, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

This evening will be a time of remembrance, healing, and connection. We invite families, friends, first responders, recovery advocates, and community members to share stories, light a candle, and help reduce the stigma surrounding substance use and overdose.

Together, we remember. Together, we heal. Together, we create hope.

If you have lost someone to overdose, please know you are not alone. Their life mattered. Their story matters. They will never be forgotten.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this event. One candle can light another, and one conversation can save a life.

YOUTH INPATIENT SERVICES, serving males and females ages 13-17 who struggle with substance use, mental health, and behavioral issues.

In 1986 the Seven Nations met to discuss creating a chemical dependency treatment solution for their youth. The Tribes knew they would be more successful if they combined their limited resources to develop one cooperative program. With the help of Indian Health Services (IHS), they established the Inland Tribal Consortium (ITC) Youth Treatment Program in 1988, later renamed the Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations. With continued commitment and effort, IHS chose the Spokane area to become one of the 12 IHS Regional Youth Treatment Centers because of its central location among other Indian Tribes. The program, once established, was expanded to serve all youth (Native and non-Native). In 2017, the HL7N further developed its services to meet the needs of youth and their families by adding a comprehensive outpatient behavioral health facility. A wilderness retreat at a very special campus. Take some time away in a place made for teens and surrounded by woods and trails to explore. Basketball courts, a Ninja Warrior-like obstacle course, and a paved trail with bikes and skateboards provided are just the beginning.
