The Life and Legacy of Maurice Loving, Jr.
Maurice Loving, Jr. was born on December 10, 1984, in Tupelo, MS, to Elder Maurice and Mary Loving. From the beginning, his life was a gift to his family and to everyone who came to know and love him. He professed his hope in Christ at an early age at Red Oak Grove Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Henry Jeans. He was a church musician. He later moved his membership to The Ministry of the Lost Sheep under the leadership of Elder Maurice Loving, Sr., where he remained until he transitioned. He attended Shannon High School and Itawamba Community College where he played football.
Maurice Jr., whom we affectionately called Pooh, was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had a way of bringing joy into the lives of those around him. Whether through his smile, his sense of humor, his kind heart, or the memories he created with family and friends, he left an impression that will never be forgotten.
Throughout his life, Maurice Jr. enjoyed fishing, grilling, hunting, watching football, going out to eat with his family, watching YouTube and movies, and drinking his morning coffee with his favorite breakfast. He was known for his laughter and big personality, for playing the drums, and for playing bass guitar. He was strong, protective, caring, hardworking, quiet yet loving, full of life, and to know him was to know someone truly special.
He was already the proud father of two children, Addison and Jackson, before meeting and marrying the love of his life, Ramiere Warren, on June 24, 2017. Their union was blessed with three children, Antonio, Ra’Miya, and A’mericle, completing a family he loved dearly.
Family meant so much to Maurice Jr. He shared a special bond with his loved ones, and the memories made with him will remain in our hearts forever. His presence, his voice, his laughter, and his love will be deeply missed.
Maurice Jr. departed this life on May 27, 2026. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that his life had purpose, his love was real, and his memory will live on through each person he touched.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bishop Henry Jeans (maternal) and Robert Fitzgerald Loving (paternal). He leaves to cherish his precious memories his parents, Maurice and Mary; his wife, Ramiere; his children, Addison, Jackson, Antonio, Ra’Miya, and A’mericle; siblings, Gwendolyn and Tamika (Matthew); nieces, nephews, grandparents, special friends, and other relatives. He also leaves behind a host of family members and friends who will forever carry him in their hearts.
