And Here We Are… A Step Closer
I have finally made movement toward the new dream in the Pacific Northwest.
I am physically here now, in a land that is lush, peaceful, and honestly a whole lot kinder, to the spirit, to the nervous system. The people I have met are much kinder as a whole.
For just over a year now, there has been a great “un-rooting” to make this dream happen. Leaving community and a home that I’ve been a part of for a very long time. People have cheered me on, calling me brave and stating how proud they are of me. Thank you. I accept that love fully. I was sent off in ceremony and joy (lots of tears, too) and delivered into CA with deep care and loving help.
Being here has been incredible. I just as a whole, feel better. Who else gets to write to you FROM THE REDWOODS or the ocean…. whatever feels most supportive in that day. Heck, out here, it can be both in the same day.
And it’s hard. I am still in transition to the next home space. Being one who finds such value and comfort in home, this is a continuation of the uprooting and tossed about sense, now in a completely foreign place. I don’t regret this move at all. It feels fully aligned for what I am meant to do. But full transparency here, it’s not comfortable. I miss a place of my own. My temporary spot is fine, but there is no desire to settle in, as my body is already preparing to move again. I miss a good home cooked meal, socks that come out of a drawer, instead of a bag, and I can’t wait to drop the hypervigilance that comes with making sure your animals don’t make a mess in a place that is not yours.
I definitely don’t tell you all of this to discourage you from doing big things and having big dreams. No, no. This is where the learning and the experience comes in. The push for you to declare that you are really wanting this dream. A friend reminded me that when we dream, we see things in their completed state and we often don’t know the exact steps to make it happen. Hold your dream, don’t let yourself try and talk you out of it, even when it’s uncomfortable. It is just a part of it.
And one day the big exhale comes, as the dream is walked into, in its completed state
Be Well
