As we count down to In Full Bloom: A Brunch to Remove Barriers, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the sponsors who have helped make this event possible.

Your generosity does more than support a brunch, it helps ensure that people across South Carolina can access the abortion care they need, when they need it. Every sponsorship helps remove financial and logistical barriers, supports our hotline, and strengthens the movement for reproductive freedom.

Thank you for investing in a future where abortion access is available to everyone, regardless of income, zip code, or circumstance. Please join us in celebrating these incredible supporters and the vital role they play in our community.

This past weekend, we lost a friend.

To know Liddy was to be surrounded by warmth, kindness, and love. She radiated sunshine, even through years of ongoing health challenges. Her presence made people feel welcome, valued, and cared for.

Liddy served as a clinic greeter at our local Planned Parenthood, an intake operator on our hotline, and a fierce advocate for equality, dignity, and liberation for all people. She showed up for her community again and again, offering compassion and support wherever it was needed most.

This past weekend, the world lost a little of its shimmer, and we will miss her terribly.

We honor Liddy through the work we do every day. We love others. We lead with compassion. We show up. We care for one another. We act with courage. And we remember that caring for ourselves is part of caring for our communities, too.

Thank you, Liddy, for the light you brought into this world. We will carry it forward.

Reproductive justice has always been about more than abortion access. Coined by Black women activists in 1994, the reproductive justice framework recognizes the human right to have children, not have children, and raise families in safe, healthy communities.

That vision includes transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people.

Trans people face many of the same barriers to reproductive healthcare that abortion seekers face: political attacks, provider shortages, discrimination, financial obstacles, and laws designed to limit bodily autonomy. Some trans men and nonbinary people need abortion care. Some trans people need fertility care, prenatal care, or gender-affirming healthcare to live healthy lives. The same politicians working to restrict abortion access are often working to restrict trans healthcare, too. These attacks are connected because they are rooted in the same belief: that politicians should have more control over our bodies than we do.

At Palmetto State Abortion Fund, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to make decisions about their own body, healthcare, and future.

This Pride Month, and every month, we stand with trans people because reproductive justice means all of us.

The Activist of the Year award is for someone in our community who has used their story or their time to support grassroots efforts to help us fight for reproductive freedom.

Sidney Sinclaire has been a volunteer with Palmetto State Abortion Fund since 2024, and it has been an absolute privilege to watch him grow into the confident, compassionate, and community-centered advocate he is today.

Sid is always the first to step up when help is needed. He has supported our work in countless ways, including patient care, tabling events, legislative action, and so much more. Beyond being an incredible advocate for reproductive rights, Sid is also a fierce champion for LGBTQ+ rights.

Over the last year, he has shown up at the State House time and time again to testify against oppressive legislation, while also using his social media platforms to speak openly about the state of reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights in South Carolina. He is someone who leads with kindness and authenticity in every space he enters.

It is truly our honor to recognize Sidney Sinclaire as our very first Activist of the Year.

Join us in celebrating Representative Seth Rose as our Legislator of the Year at In Full Bloom 🌸

Representative Rose is a steadfast champion for reproductive freedom and abortion rights, both in the South Carolina House and in the community. His leadership goes beyond public statements. He shows up when it matters most. Whether responding immediately in moments of crisis or standing alongside those facing intimidation and harm, Seth has demonstrated a deep commitment to protecting the dignity, safety, and rights of others. His willingness to act with urgency, integrity, and compassion is what sets him apart and why we are proud to recognize him as our inaugural Legislator of the Year.
