Conversations With A Clinician "A safe space to have candid conversations about mental and financial health"

10/19/2026

✨ HELLO MONDAY!

NEW WEEK, NEW MINDSET. 💚

Before the demands of the week begin, take a moment to check in with yourself. 🧠✨

You don’t have to have everything figured out today. You don’t have to accomplish everything at once. And you certainly don’t have to carry last week’s stress into this week’s opportunities.

This week, give yourself permission to:

🌿 Choose progress over perfection.
💚 Protect your peace without feeling guilty.
✨ Focus on what you CAN control.
🧠 Speak to yourself with kindness and intention.
🌸 Rest when needed and celebrate the small wins.

Remember, your mental health is just as important as your to-do list. A successful week isn’t just about what you accomplish, but also about how you care for yourself along the way.

Let’s enter this week with a clear mind, a grateful heart, and the confidence to take things one day at a time.

💬 MONDAY CHECK-IN: What’s one intention you’re setting for your mental well-being this week?

This weekend gave me more than financial information, it gave me language for conversations I believe we need to keep having. 🧠💰🤎

At the ROO Weekend Financial Wealth Conference, I had the opportunity to learn, connect, serve through credit consultations, and sit in rooms where we talked about what it really takes to move from financial survival toward stability, mobility, and ultimately wealth.

And one thing kept coming up:
👉🏽Access matters.
👉🏽Information matters.
👉🏽But what we do with what we learn matters MOST!

We talked about income versus wealth.

Ownership versus consumption.

Credit and financial hygiene.

Access to information and opportunity.

The impact of poverty and systemic barriers.

Generational wealth.

And y’all know my favorite; the emotions and behaviors influencing the decisions we make with money.

That last piece especially stayed with me.

Because financial wellness isn’t only about knowing the numbers; Sometimes we have to get curious about the person making the financial decisions. 👀

What were you taught about money?

What weren’t you taught?

What have you had access to?

What do you believe about wealth?

What happens emotionally when money gets tight?

Are you only earning and consuming OR are you learning how to steward, own, invest, and build?

And what financial patterns are you hoping don’t get passed to the next generation?

Whew. 😮‍💨

These are the conversations I want to continue through the work at Conversations with a Clinician™.

Because meaningful financial education should give us more than information, it should help us examine our beliefs, understand our behaviors, ask better questions, and make more intentional decisions. ✨

I’m leaving this weekend learning, thinking, and ready to keep the conversation going.

Because maybe the question isn’t only:
“How do I make more money?”
Maybe we also need to ask:
“What financial playbook was I given and is it helping me build the life I want?” 🧠💸
