Breaking the cycle means choosing to do things differently….even when it’s hard. 💪

Today at RFIT, we talked about recognizing the patterns we didn’t want to carry forward and making intentional choices to create something better. Healing, recovery, and growth aren’t just about changing our own lives—they can change what comes after us, too. We all hope to be generational curse breakers one day at a time.

One choice. One workout. One Sunday at a time. 🖤

Come get better with us.

Why is asking for help sometimes the hardest thing to do? 🤝

As people—and especially as people in recovery, we get so used to pushing through. We tell ourselves, “I’ve got this.” We keep moving, carry the weight, and convince ourselves we have to figure it out on our own.

But recovery was never meant to be done alone. ❤️

Today’s RFIT topic was all about asking for help and learning that reaching for a hand doesn’t make us weak—it reminds us that we’re human.

We carried that lesson straight into our workout with a partner workout designed to remind us that sometimes we’re stronger when we lean on the person beside us. Whether it’s one more rep, one more day, or one really hard moment you don’t have to do it alone.

Reach out. Ask for help. Take the hand. And when you’re able, be the hand someone else can reach for.

Another great Sunday at No Surrender Barbell. 💪

Today’s RFIT meeting was about grief. something that looks different for every single one of us. 🖤

We talked about the people we’ve lost, how grief has changed and evolved over time, and the different ways we continue to remember and honor the people we love who are no longer here. Grief doesn’t necessarily get smaller—we just learn new ways to carry it.

And today was extra special because one of our own, Gwen, ran her very first class and absolutely KILLED IT. 💪🔥 Watching our members step outside their comfort zones, grow in confidence, and become leaders themselves is exactly what RFIT is about.

We aren’t just building stronger bodies. We’re building stronger minds, stronger connections, and a community that shows up for each other through the good, the hard, and everything in between.

We are so incredibly proud of these people.

THE NEXT REP

2nd chances - change - and getting better

1) when somebody says, everyone deserves second chances, do you actually agree with that? Why or why not?

2) what does someone owe to a second chance after they have been given one

3) whats the difference between wanting your life to change and willing to change

Work out:

Death by Barbell 5 rounds
15 DL
12 Hng Clns
9 front Squats
6 Thrusters

Rnd 1 Where have you been (own it)
Rnd 2 The chance ( gratitude for being here)
Rnd 3 The decision ( now its real, you choose it)
Rnd 4 The work ( action leads to change)
Rnd 5 who are you becoming ( better with every rep)

Quote:
Your past explains how you got here. It doesnt decide what comes next. This is what a second chance is. Its the opportunity to take the next rep differently.
