The game brings men to the table.

Good food, real laughs, strong opinions about the refs, and sometimes, the right moment to start a real conversation.

Men’s Health Month is a reminder that health conversations do not have to feel uncomfortable, complicated, or heavy. Sometimes they begin in familiar spaces, with people we trust, and with physicians who understand how to listen with patience and care.

For over 20 years, Jacksons Point of Light Family Medicine has served the Chattahoochee Valley area under the leadership of Dr. Kimberly F. Jackson.

As the key corporate partner of , JPL Family Medicine & Pediatrics helped launch PWT in 2015 as part of its commitment to social responsibility, community health, physician connection, and patient education.

That commitment continues today.

Dr. Jackson believes men deserve a safe, respectful space to ask questions, talk honestly, and take care of their health without judgment.

✔️So tonight, enjoy the game.
✔️Drink the water.
✔️Laugh with your people.
✔️Check in on the men at the table.

And when it is time to talk health, know that care is always within reach. Men’s health deserves a seat at the table.

JPL Family Medicine & Pediatrics is always a call away!

When I started Physicians Working Together in 2015, it was just three doctors and a Facebook group. No grant, no large budget, no big launch plan. Just physicians who understood that too many doctors were carrying the weight of medicine alone.

Today, PWT has grown into a community of nearly 9,000 physician members, with thousands of doctors across the country also participating each year through National Physicians Week.

As PWT became a nonprofit, our mission expanded. We began focusing more deeply on the future of healthcare, which meant advocating for medical students and investing in the next generation of physicians.

Since 2019, we have awarded medical student scholarships, and this year, we will announce our 11th scholarship recipient.

That matters because physician advocacy is not only about supporting the doctors serving today. It is also about making sure future doctors feel seen, supported, and encouraged before they ever wear the white coat.

I still believe physicians are not the problem in healthcare. Isolation is.

That is why I keep building. For physicians. For future doctors. For the communities we are called to serve.

Connect. Collaborate. Care.

That is who we are. Join us today! physiciansworkingtogether.org

This is beautiful story of resilience and determination! We must help more ambitious students realize that their dream to become a doctor may be the divine calling that will change not only their lives, but will impact generations!

Dr. Jack Abbot, played by Shawn Hatosy, runs the night shift and calls his team the Nightcrawlers. He came home from war missing a leg and lost his wife too. He is the one person in the building who has seen what Dr. Robby has seen, in roughly the same dose, for roughly the same number of years.

Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, played by Noah Wyle, has spent all season holding the ER together while falling apart. His mentor died of COVID in front of him. He's been riding his motorcycle without a helmet. Dana keeps butting heads with him, when they're usually each other's rocks. Langdon told him he's afraid to admit he isn't perfect. Every person in that ER has tried to say some version of this to him.

He's deflected all of it.

Abbot is the one who finally landed it.

"You gotta find somebody to help you dance through the darkness."

The line Robby fixates on isn't the tough-love part. It's the poetry. He asks Abbot if he made it up. Abbot shrugs and says maybe it's a song lyric, maybe his therapist said it.

That small exchange is the whole thesis of the season. Abbot is fu**ed up, 100 percent, and he has a therapist. Robby is fu**ed up and he doesn't. One of them is going to be okay. The other one is planning on getting on a motorcycle tonight.

49 percent of physicians report burnout, per the Medscape 2024 Physician Burnout Report. ER physicians rank highest of any specialty. Roughly 300 to 400 physicians die by su***de in the U.S. every year, about twice the rate of the general population. The single strongest predictor of whether a physician gets help is whether someone they trust told them to.

Abbot just told him.

If you or someone you know is struggling, the 988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 by call or text.

🩺As partners of Homes for Heroes, we want to recognize the hard work, leadership, and personal sacrifice of doctors in every field. The group Physicians Working Together, created this week to show that doctors wear many hats—acting as mentors, researchers, and leaders for all of us.

💉March 25: Kickoff for National Physicians Week and "Unity" events.
🏥March 30 (Monday): National Doctors' Day. This date honors the first use of anesthesia in surgery in 1842—a huge moment in medical history.
🚨March 31: Final day for recognition and support.

🥼To the physicians I’ve worked with, and all those serving our community right now: Thanks for everything you do. We're glad to have you.
