This space probably carries the most emotion in my entire home.

It’s seen the most; holds the most secrets.

…and still, it’s the coziest, safest space. Why?

Because here you can show up exactly as you are, & the spirit of the room does the rest.

The best part, it’s not the decor or painted walls that make this space— it’s our work together, & my wish is, that we can carry that anywhere. 🫂✨

Sometimes the hardest grief isn’t over someone we lost.
It’s over the years we feel we lost.

The birthdays we barely remember.
The friendships we couldn’t fully show up for.
The opportunities we weren’t well enough to take.
The version of ourselves we never got to meet.

Mental illness has a way of making time feel stolen.
And it’s okay to grieve that.

But healing has a quiet way of giving something back.

Because once you begin to understand yourself, to regulate your nervous system, to recognize your patterns, to choose yourself with compassion instead of shame, the years ahead become richer than the ones behind.

You stop surviving and start living with intention.
You build healthier relationships.
You protect your peace.
You notice joy where you once only noticed pain.

Healing doesn’t erase the years that felt wasted.
It makes sure they weren’t in vain.

They become the reason the rest of your life feels different.

And one day, you’ll realize you aren’t late to the life you want .

You are finally well enough to live it.

One of the hardest truths I’ve learned-both personally & as a therapist, is that we often delay decisions because we’re trying to find the option that doesn’t hurt.

But life rarely works that way.

Staying may hurt.
Leaving may hurt.
Holding on comes with loss.
Letting go comes with loss.

The goal isn’t to find the path without pain. It’s to choose the pain that moves you toward the life you want, instead of keeping you stuck in the life you’ve outgrown.

Sometimes peace isn’t found because a decision is easy. It’s found because, despite the discomfort, your choice aligns with your values, your growth, & the person you’re becoming.

Which choice has been asking for your courage lately? 👀💚

I’ve officially reached 100 followers! 🎉

Thank you for being here, supporting this space, & engaging w/ the conversations we share. Every like, comment, and share does more than support my professional journey; it helps normalize conversations about mental health, challenge stigma, & remind others that seeking support is a sign of strength.

& as a Black therapist, representation matters. I hope this space continues to be one where people feel seen, understood, and encouraged to prioritize their well-being.

Here’s to continuing the conversation and growing together. Thank you for being part of it. 💚
