Running shouldn’t leave you wondering why something hurts. 🏃🏾‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

A running gait analysis can uncover movement patterns that may be contributing to your pain and limiting your performance.

The goal isn’t to completely change the way you run, it’s to identify the small adjustments that make the biggest difference.

That’s why I don’t overload runners with a long list of cues. We focus on 1–2 changes that are easy to implement and fit naturally into your stride.

The result?
✅ More efficient movement
✅ Less unnecessary stress on your body
✅ More enjoyable miles

If pain has been affecting your runs, it doesn’t have to become your new normal.

📩 Send me a DM with “RUN” to schedule a running gait analysis and let’s get you back to running pain-free.

Most people think physical therapy is just a list of exercises.

This week, a patient who had already been through PT told me:
➡️ “I never knew I had those movement deficits.”
➡️ “No one has ever explained why this activity causes my pain.”

By the end of the session, they understood why they were hurting—not just what hurt. Their response:

“This doesn’t feel like cookie-cutter physical therapy.”

That’s why I built Human Efficiency around one-on-one care. Every session is individualized to uncover the movement, strength, and training factors behind your pain—so you leave with answers, not just exercises.

If you’ve been stuck with pain and aren’t making progress, it may be time for a different approach.

📩 DM me “MOVE” and let’s build a plan around your goals.

🚨 Want stronger, more resilient shoulders? Give this exercise a shot.

The shoulder is designed for mobility, but that also means it relies on strength and control to stay healthy. One of the best ways to build that control is by emphasizing the eccentric (lowering) phase of a movement.

This landmine variation challenges both your shoulder blade and shoulder joint to control force, helping improve stability, strength, and confidence overhead.

Whether you’re lifting, throwing, or just want your shoulders to feel better during everyday activities, this is a great exercise to add to your routine.

👇 Have shoulder pain or feel unstable overhead? Drop a comment or send me a DM and let’s figure out what’s holding you back.

Can your body actually handle the impact?

Running isn’t just about strength, it’s about your body’s ability to accept and produce force with every step. Each stride places 2-3x your body weight through your legs, and if you’re not prepared for that demand, returning too soon can keep pain lingering or lead to another setback.

That’s where a plyometric progression comes in.

By gradually progressing from low-level hops to more demanding jumping and landing drills, we can:
✔️ Build tendon and bone capacity
✔️ Improve force absorption
✔️ Restore confidence with impact
✔️ Make sure your body is ready for the demands of running—not just hoping it is

Strength is the foundation, but plyometrics bridge the gap between the weight room and the road.

If you’re recovering from an injury or trying to return to running pain-free, don’t skip this step.

Want to run with less pain? It may be time to have your running gait analyzed. 🏃🏾🏃🏻🏃🏾‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Improving your running gait can help reduce unnecessary stress on painful areas, making every stride a little more efficient.

When I analyze someone’s running form, I’m looking at a lot of different variables. But here’s the key: I don’t send people home with 10 things to think about.

Instead, we focus on 1–2 simple cues that create the biggest impact. Small adjustments are easier to apply, easier to remember, and often lead to lasting changes.

Better movement. Less stress. More enjoyable miles.

🏃🏾🏋🏼‍♀️Want to move better, run stronger, and build strength that carries over to everything you do?

Try adding this squat variation to your routine.

Whether you’re training for your next race, chasing a new PR in the gym, or crushing your favorite group fitness class, this movement checks a lot of boxes.

It challenges:
✅ Ankle mobility
✅ Hip mobility
✅ Single-leg control
✅ Strength through deep ranges of motion

This has become one of my go-to exercises because it’s such a low barrier to entry for assessing (and improving) how your lower extremity actually functions. It demands control through deep ankle and hip positions which is needed to move well and stay resilient as an active adult.

Add this into your routine and tell us how it feels 👇
