Just some things I’ve been pondering as my daughter approaches her 3rd birthday. Birthdays always have me reflecting on my own “birth day”. What a beautiful experience the Lord gave me, and I’m so thankful He softened my heart leading up to this day so that I could fully surrender and welcome this little girl with open arms. Absolutely, I still grieve the birth I didn’t get. But it changed me in ways I can’t fully explain and I am better for it.

I’m awful at capturing moments 🙈 but we wrapped up our final class tonight.

It’s really more than just a class, it’s a shift. A reclaiming. A reminder that birth was never meant to be feared, but understood, supported, and honored.

Praying over each of these mommas and their spouses as they step into their birth. May they be covered in peace, strength, and the quiet assurance that they were made for this. May they step into the surrender of what lies ahead with open arms as they receive their precious reward 💕

Not prepping for spooky season 👻

These bottles of fake blood aren’t for costumes, they’re for teaching! In my Birth Emergencies class, we use them to demonstrate what blood loss can actually look like after birth.

Why? Because it often looks like more than it is. Visual learning helps families feel prepared and confident to recognize when things are normal. And when it's not, they know how their midwives manage a true hemorrhage.

✨ This isn’t about fear - it’s about education, confidence, and readiness. And, birth is messy, but that's okay!
