Come hang with me Saturday! Editions - Coffee and Bookstore

06/25/2026

For years, I’ve faithfully refreshed flowers at the graves of my dad, my beloved grandparents, and my stepdad with every changing season.

It was my way of honoring them.
Of remembering.
Of loving them.

As I walked away from another cemetery today, carrying empty flower buckets back to my car, a quiet thought settled into my spirit:

Maybe this season is inviting me to hold even this… more loosely.

Not because they’ve become less important.
Not because I love them less.

But because I’ve come to realize they aren’t there.

Their love lives on in the stories I tell, the values I practice, the people I serve, the children I’m raising, and the life I’m choosing to live each day.

Perhaps the greatest way we honor those we’ve lost isn’t by maintaining what marks their death—but by fully embracing the life we’ve been given.

It’s a lesson God has been patiently teaching me for years, long before I had words for it.

Those words eventually became Held Loosely, Loving Without Losing Yourself. 📖

In one month, on July 23, that message will officially be released into the world. What began as my story has become an invitation for anyone learning to loosen their grip on grief, expectations, relationships, fear, or the illusion of control—and trust God with what remains.

And before launch day, I’d love to spend some time with you.

☕ Saturday, July 11
📚 Editions Coffeeshop & Bookstore, Kannapolis
🕙 10:00 AM – Noon

I’ll be on the patio talking about the heart behind Held Loosely, signing books, answering questions, and simply sharing life together.

It’s especially meaningful to me because years ago I led yoga classes in this very space when my sweet friend Dawn Evans first opened Editions - Coffee and Bookstore. To return now as an author feels like such a beautiful full-circle moment.

Thank you to everyone who has walked this journey with me.

Sometimes les truly IS More!
Sometimes Rē Lēs-ing is the most faithful thing we can do.

And sometimes the deepest way we honor those we love… is by living well.

The people we love may leave this earth, but the love they planted was never meant to stay in a cemetery. It was always meant to keep growing in us.
