A lot of people carry guilt for things they did as a child.

But here’s the truth:
You were still learning.

Learning how to handle emotions.
Learning right from wrong.
Learning how to cope with things you may not have understood at the time.

Guilt can make you feel like you were a “bad kid.”
But often, you were a kid doing the best you could with what you had.

Growth means recognizing:
If you feel guilt now, it likely means your values have changed.

And that matters.

You are not the same person you were back then.
You have more awareness, more empathy, and more tools.

You don’t have to keep punishing yourself for a version of you that didn’t know what you know now.

Healing includes offering your younger self compassion.

Your thoughts aren’t always facts.

Sometimes your brain is trying to protect you by filling in gaps but that can lead to anxiety, overthinking, or assuming the worst.

Next time you notice a thought spiraling, pause and ask:
“What’s the evidence for this?”

You might find the thought isn’t as true as it feels.

This isn’t about toxic positivity it’s about creating space between you and your thoughts 🤍

If you’ve ever thought, “Why am I so tired after talking to them?” this might be why.

Emotional exhaustion doesn’t always come from who you’re with, but from the role you’re taking on in the interaction.

You might be:
• over-explaining
• people-pleasing
• holding space without receiving support back

Over time, that adds up.

A gentle reminder:
You don’t have to carry every conversation.
You don’t have to fix every emotion.
You don’t have to overextend to be understood.

Start noticing how you feel during interactions, not just after.

That awareness is where boundaries begin 🤍
