A little glamour, a little chaos, and a whole lot of fabulous in Downtown Conway tonight! 🎭✨ Josh and I headed over to Theatre of the Republic for La Cage aux Folles, and honey, the minute we walked in and saw all that pink, sparkle and candy waiting on us, I knew we were in for a good time.

There’s just something special about going to the theater right here in our own downtown. Getting dressed up, walking past that marquee, finding our seats and watching a whole different world come alive on that stage. And this one definitely knows how to bring the COLOR. 😂💗

One little line pretty much says it all: “I am what I am.” And really, isn’t that a beautiful reminder? Be yourself. Be colorful. Be a little extra when the mood strikes. Laugh loudly. Love your people. And never apologize for the sparkle you bring into a room.

Such a fun night with my Josh, supporting local theater and enjoying another little piece of what makes Conway feel like home. Now… somebody pass me another cup of those jelly beans because apparently I needed concessions for emotional support. 😂

🤠🎶 HEY, Y’ALL… ANYBODY NEED A GOOD EXCUSE TO PUT ON YOUR BOOTS AND COME HANG OUT WITH ME? 🎶🤠

Because Sunday, September 20 is starting to feel like somebody took a big ol’ 90s country music video, threw in a whole bunch of incredible food, added some Myrtle Beach sunshine, and said, “Carl Ray, get over here.” 😂🍴

eatMYR 2026 is happening at The Boathouse from 2 PM to 6 PM, and I would LOVE to see some familiar faces out there. If you spot me, PLEASE come say hello! Come grab a picture, come laugh with us, come tell me what you’re eating, and if you’ve got something really good on your plate… I might just need a bite. 😂 I’m kidding. Sort of.

There are 30 culinary contenders coming together for this thing, Neon Moon bringing the music, and the whole afternoon benefits SC Needs Help. So we get to eat, have a good time, support some seriously talented local people AND help a great cause right here in our community. That’s about as good as a Sunday afternoon gets.

And if you haven’t grabbed your tickets yet, HERE’S YOUR SIGN. 👀🎟️ Use my code CARLRAY10 and you’ll get 10% OFF your tickets.

So round up your best eating buddy, dust off that 90s country attitude, and come make an afternoon out of it. I want pictures, hugs, laughs, good food recommendations, and maybe a little “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” energy before the day is over. 😂🤠

Who’s coming?! Tag your partner in crime below, grab those tickets, and when you see me wandering around with a plate in my hand looking happier than Alan Jackson at a h***y tonk… COME SAY HI. 😂🍴❤️

I CAME FOR TACOS… BUT THREE OF THESE ALMOST STARTED A FIGHT AT THE TABLE. 🌮🔥

SNEAK PEEK 👀 Full video coming NEXT WEDNESDAY!

Today we had a soft opening invite from my friend Chef Keith to come check out the brand new Taco Libre in North Myrtle Beach. I’ve known Keith for quite a while, and I’ll say this every single time: I genuinely believe he is one of the most underrated chefs in our area. He is incredibly talented, creative, hardworking, and loyal to his craft. The man can COOK, and I’m always excited to see what he gets his hands on next.

So when Chef Keith said, “Come eat,” you already know I wasn’t going to argue. 😂 We sampled our way through the menu with the Pollo Supreme, Butter Chicken, Smash Burger, Queso Birria, Carnitas Supreme, Creole Shrimp, Fried Avocado, plus chips and salsa. And listen… I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a SINGLE one of them. But that Butter Chicken, Smash Burger, and Queso Birria are the three that are still living rent free in my head tonight. That Butter Chicken especially was something DIFFERENT. 🔥

For a soft opening, I was impressed. 10 out of 10 on the food from this first visit. The restaurant itself is beautiful, fun, colorful, and has a great energy. Are there a few little last minute kinks being worked out before the big grand opening? Absolutely. That’s exactly what a soft opening is for, and nothing I saw would keep me from going right back. I think once everything settles into its rhythm, this place has the potential to be something really special.

They are OPEN NOW for their soft opening at 730 Hwy 17 S in North Myrtle Beach, so you don’t have to wait for me. 😂 Go check them out, try something I didn’t, and tell me what YOU think.

And this was only the sneak peek. I’ll be back next week for the big grand opening, and the FULL Carl Ray experience drops NEXT WEDNESDAY. 🌮🔥

Thank you Chef Keith, Jason and staff.

Good morning, my beautiful people. ☀️❤️ I hope you slept well, woke up with a little peace in your heart, and are walking into this new day knowing you do not have to have everything figured out before your feet even hit the floor.

Sometimes a new day is simply about starting again, adjusting a little, laughing at what did not go as planned, and keeping on moving. That definitely seems to be the theme around here this morning. 😂🌭

Last night I finally uploaded Season 3, Episode 1 of Frequency Through Hot Dogs, and the first upload got hit with a music rights strike. So I had to take the whole thing down, fix it, and repost it.

And if you have ever dealt with social media, you probably already know what can happen next. When something gets removed and reposted like that, sometimes the algorithm just seems to lose its little mind and the second version barely gets pushed out at all. 😂 Mine pretty much went straight into cricket territory.

So I am asking a tiny favor this morning. If you have a few minutes, would you please click over, watch the episode, and give it a little love? Even watching, liking, commenting, or sharing helps tell Facebook, “Hey, somebody actually wants to see this.” 😂

I would really appreciate it because I put a lot of heart into bringing this little series back, and I am genuinely excited about where Season 3 is going.

Here is the episode:

And whatever your Monday looks like today, remember this: a little setback does not mean stop. Sometimes you just fix the music, repost the we**ie, and keep on going. ❤️🌭

Sending you all so much love this morning.

🌭🤠 SEASON 3 IS HERE, AND THE WE**IE WAGON IS ROLLING AGAIN! 🤠🌭

For Season 3, Episode 1 of Frequency Through Hot Dogs, the We**ie Wagon found its way to Daisy’s Dogs, a hot dog cart I caught at the Surfside Beach Farmers Market.

Y’all already know the order. Chili, slaw, mustard and onions. No ketchup. 🌭

Daisy starts with an all beef Sabrett natural casing dog, and that first bite had a really good snap. The bun was soft, sturdy and fresh, the chili was meaty with a little spice and that homemade kind of feel, and the slaw was creamy, crunchy and worked beautifully with the chili.

The mustard wasn’t your everyday yellow mustard, but it was good without being overpowering, the onions were fresh, and what really stood out to me was how beautifully everything worked together. Nothing was fighting for attention. It was just a really good, well put together hot dog.

And Jo Anne was an absolute pleasure. Friendly, welcoming, easy to talk to and clearly passionate about the product she is putting out. And let me tell you something else because it matters to me when food is being served...

That cart was CLEAN. A+. 👏

Now comes the question everybody who has followed this tour knows I have to ask...

Did it take me back to West Virginia?

Not quite all the way...

But honey, it got me across the state line and at least into the next county. 😂🌭

And I’ll take that, because somewhere in that bite was a little memory of being a kid at the Taylor County Fair. And THAT is what this whole tour has always been about. I’m not necessarily looking for the best hot dog in South Carolina. I’m looking for the one that gives me that frequency of home.

🌭 HOT DOG FREQUENCY: 9.5 OUT OF 10 🌭

Would I go back to Daisy?

Absolutely.

Would I recommend her?

Absolutely.

And Daisy is also available for catering, so if a hot dog party happens to be in your future, I certainly wouldn’t hesitate. 😂🌭 Make sure you follow Daisy on social media too, because she’s a cart and you’ll want to know where she pops up next.

And one little Season 3 update: this time around, the We**ie Wagon is willing to travel a little farther. We’re stretching the search to roughly 60 miles or about an hour from Conway, because I know there are some good we**ies hiding beyond our original route. 🤠🌭

So tell me...

Have you tried Daisy yet?

The search continues, and I can’t wait to see where the We**ie Wagon rolls next. 🤠🌭

Disclaimer: This episode was recorded before we learned of Dolly Parton’s passing. We had already visited Daisy at the Surfside Beach Farmers Market, and it was afterward, while stopping for coffee, that we received the news. The 9.5 score had already been given, and once everything settled in, I couldn’t help but notice that little 9 to 5 coincidence.

And there was one more piece that made this episode feel especially meaningful. Dolly absolutely loved a good slaw dog, and she once named the Slaw Dog at Frank Allen Market & Grill in Sevierville, Tennessee, as one of her favorites. That wonderful Southern combination of hot dog, chili, slaw, mustard and onions feels mighty familiar around here too.

So somehow, before we knew what the day would bring, Season 3 began with a slaw dog, a 9.5, and a bite that carried me across the West Virginia state line and into the next county, while bringing back a childhood memory of the Taylor County Fair. None of that was planned, and maybe that is what makes it feel so special.

Sometimes a frequency finds you before you even know you’re looking for it.

So with a whole lot of love, Season 3, Episode 1 is dedicated to Dolly Parton 🦋

Well, some folks count sheep before bed… I’m over here thinking about slaw dogs, pink butterflies, angel wings, and one very special Season 3 premiere. 😂🌭🩷🦋

Tomorrow night at 6 PM, Frequency Through Hot Dogs is officially BACK with Season 3, Episode 1, and this one has a little extra heart tucked into it. I’m dedicating the episode to Dolly Parton, and knowing she enjoyed a good slaw dog herself somehow makes this little adventure feel even sweeter. 🩷

So sleep tight, y’all. Tomorrow we eat we**ies, make memories, and start a brand new season with a whole lotta love, a little sparkle, and maybe just enough pink to make heaven smile. 😉✨

Goodnight, beautiful people. Be kind. Be the light. And always be the frequency you want to find. 🤠🌭🩷
