🎉👏 Congratulations to Cliff Marquardt, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center’s September Rising Star Employee of the Month! Cliff’s commitment to problem-solving and patient care goes far beyond his role as inpatient pharmacy coordinator. When he noticed recurring temperature alarms from a breast milk refrigerator outside of his department, he took the initiative to investigate, identify the cause and implement a simple solution that improved workflow and supported the safe storage of breast milk. 🌟💙

Cliff’s dedication to helping others was also on display when he assisted Samaritan’s Lincoln City hospital during an emergency refrigerator failure, using his technical expertise to help maintain medication security and minimize disruptions. Since joining Good Samaritan in 2018, Cliff has become known for his willingness to tackle challenges, support teammates and find solutions wherever they are needed. 💙🏥 We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Community Health and Resource Fair at Corvallis Junior High School! 🎉
Samaritan was proud to help nearly 60 local children get ready for the upcoming school year and sports season through free vital sign checks, vision screenings, immunization record reviews and school-required vaccinations. ⚽📚👓💉

𝐎𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧-𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

We’re excited to share an important milestone: The Oregon Health Authority has approved Samaritan Health Services’ proposed affiliation with MultiCare Health System.

A few final legal and administrative steps remain, and we are working toward completing the affiliation this fall. This approval brings us much closer to officially beginning our partnership and bringing new investment to local healthcare.

Once complete, the affiliation will support expanded access to care, recruitment and retention of health care professionals, investments in facilities and technology, and more opportunities to bring services closer to home.

Patients can continue seeing their Samaritan providers and accessing care and services as they do today. Samaritan will remain locally led and focused on the needs of the mid-Willamette Valley and central Oregon Coast.
