Do your contact lenses feel worse than they used to? Your eyes may be developing contact lens intolerance.

Many years of lens wear + long hours every day can lead to:
❌ Dryness
❌ Redness
❌ Irritation
❌ Blurry vision
❌ “I can’t wait to take these out” feeling

The good news? You have options. 🙌

✔️ Reduce contact lens wear time
✔️ Switch to daily disposable lenses
✔️ Change lens material for better oxygen flow
✔️ Treat underlying dry eye with advanced treatments like IPL
✔️ Reduce or eliminate the need for contacts altogether with vision correction

You don’t have to live with uncomfortable contacts forever.

Your vision should NOT keep getting worse every year ⚠️

If glasses or contacts never seem clear enough, keratoconus could be the reason.

Keratoconus is a progressive eye disease that causes the cornea to thin and bulge outward, leading to blurry, distorted vision, glare, and constant prescription changes — even with corrective lenses.

The scary part? Many people don’t realize they have it until the disease becomes advanced.

The good news: early treatment can help SAVE your vision. 🙌

✔️ Corneal cross-linking can stop progression and prevent further vision loss
✔️ Specialty contact lenses can dramatically improve vision
✔️ Advanced vision correction options may help qualified patients see more clearly again

Don’t ignore worsening vision changes. Early diagnosis makes a huge difference.

This is gonna change your life forever. . . Waking up and seeing the world clearly. . . I enjoy looking at dirt!” 👁️✨

After struggling with keratoconus and wearing contacts for many years, our patient found new freedom with EVO ICL technology — achieving sharper vision without removing corneal tissue.

Stories like this are why we do what we do. Seeing patients regain confidence, clarity, and quality of life is truly life-changing. 💙

If you’ve been told you’re not a candidate for vision correction because of keratoconus or thin corneas, EVO ICL may be an option worth exploring.

Balancing life as a surgeon, mom, and practice owner means protecting the moments that refill my cup, too ✨

🤍 Women who empower women
📚 Book club conversations that spark new ideas
⛷️ Ski days that push me outside my comfort zone
🧖♀️ Sauna resets that bring me back to center

These aren’t “extras.” They’re part of how I stay grounded, focused, and fully present—in the OR, in my business, and at home.

Taking care of myself isn’t selfish. It’s essential. Because the best version of me is what I bring to everyone and everything I love. 💫

Gratitude hits differently when it comes from a fellow surgeon. 🙏

A recent refractive lens exchange patient—also a surgeon—shared a handwritten note and thoughtful gifts after their procedure. Moments like this reflect the highest level of trust: a surgeon choosing a surgeon.

There’s something especially meaningful about caring for someone who truly understands the precision, trust, and responsibility behind what we do every day.

Honored to care for colleagues who understand exactly what’s at stake—and what it takes to deliver exceptional outcomes.

🚨 Eye Drop Recall — Read This 🚨

As a cornea and dry eye specialist, I want to highlight a California company, recalled 3.1 million bottles of generic over-the-counter dry eye relief and artificial tears sold at Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, due to sterility concern.

👁️ Higher risk:
• Contact lens wearers
• Immunocompromised patients

Using contaminated eye drops = serious corneal infection risk.
(Last major recall in 2023 14 people lost vision and 4 people died)

⚠️ What to do:
• Stop using possibly affected generics
• Watch for redness, pain, discharge, blurry vision

💧 My recommendation:
Stick with brand-name drops (Refresh, Systane, Blink, Retaine). Don’t take chances with your eyes.

Consider drop less dry eye treatment options, such as Intense Pulse Light (IPL)

That stye just won’t quit? 🚫
It might be time to level up your treatment.
Eye surgeons can offer:
• IPL to reduce inflammation
• Steroid injections to shrink it fast
• Excision procedure for lasting relief

Because “just deal with it” isn’t a plan.

Not perfectly but intentionally.
