Blantons Girl Luck (Short Go Luck Daughter) with 2025 stud c**t Brick House Blanton. Maternal Granddaughter to Copper Doc and that DNA comes thru thick in her and her offspring.
Copper Doc was born in Northern Nevada and registered in Northeastern Oregon when they moved to Wallowa OR.

3yrs of not giving up on this beautifully built black 6 panel N/N appendix maiden mare trying to get her bred finally paid off. Long back story for another day. Dublin is now 18yrs old, 15 hands flat and 1,250+lbs of Wide Based shear raw sprint power. Her short Los Alamitos track carrier ended before it got started when she was brought back to Bend Oregon after a few starts when her owner shut down his racing barn.
Dublin's build type is in line with the ranch/rodeo breeding purpose of this breeding program. It does no good to bring in this level of sprint speed genetics if the thoroughbred body type is narrow based, too tall, long, and lacks heavy tied in low muscle & tendon. Ask any rancher or professional roper what they not only prefer but actually require in the width of the chest floor and hips of a working quarter horse so it will last; guarantee it won't be narrow.

Time to inject some new Quarter Track Speed genes for the program's future Lucky Blanton/Driftwood generations. It's a coincidence that three of our 5 program sires are 2005 models and when we looked to find what we believe to be the right overall Quarter Track Stallion genetic fit boost with the right build type it ends up being a 2005 model as well.
Since we like to keep the old blood up close, we chose "Instant Income" 2005 for "Blantons Girl Luck" 2004 (AKA Lady Bug) bred by the late "Bob Hadley" whom all current Lucky Blanton breeders owe a debt of gratitude for his 70 years of breeding efforts towards the "Professional Ranch Athlete" in my opinion. This mare out produces herself with short coupled powerfully built offspring that can motor, as she should being a daughter of "Short Go Luck". Lady Bug has "Lucky Blanton" on her papers and brings in 2 lines of "Red Savage Sam" as well; a "Depth Charge" grandson and Bob Hadley's racehorse. Combined with "Instant Income's" pedigree, performance and his offsprings arena accomplishments they should produce an arena athlete that can scorch a cloverleaf or smoke any event at the end of a rope and still have a heavier build type, bone, foot and demeanor to work full grown stock on high country ranches as a fulltime job.

What will your "Broken Spur" Driftwood program horses be built like by age 4?
We get this question a lot since it's a well-known Driftwood trait to physically mature slower for the most part. We like to think our breeding program does a good job at dispelling that as gospel since ours is an outcross breeding program rather than an inbreeding program.

He continues to prove that the "Old School Driftwood Type Stallions" are just as relevant today producing arena athletes that can compete at the highest levels and win.

Fulfilling her breeding purpose in the Barrel Pen with Mollyann Hutchins, Shelton WA. She's just as comfortable working cattle on her; to being able to trust her in the 4H setting with her younger sisters.

We wrapped up the 2026 foaling season with the last 3 of 13 born in Jun, all strait, correct, Dun stud c**ts by Sundance Blanton with both stones present. Blue Barrel didn't disappoint with her second foal by Sundance, a full brother to the retained 2025 filly Banshee Luck and an all-around, working ranch/arena prospect. The look-alike, in-house Dark Bay Driftwood/Quincy Dan full sisters Smokin Fox and PinUp Vixon dropped some lookers that should be the shorter 14.3 athletic, thick, wide based, short-backed calf/heel/bulldogging horse types that would be great breakaway prospects as well. List of all 2026 available foals coming soon. We appreciate everyone's patience as we're still dealing with in-house breed backs and some more outside mares.

2025 Yearling Program Replacement Fillys growing up on the South Facing Slopes of the Wallowa Mountains in Northeast Oregon's Grande Rhonde Vally. These ladies have to work every muscle, tendon and joint with every step in any direction of travel up, down and sidehill for food and water. Worst thing they have to learn on their own are the rattle snakes and to avoid them at this age, after this summer they will know they're there before seeing them by smell. A huge advantage when they become a saddle horse to keep themselves and they're rider out of wrecks or runaways.
