Grief Doesn’t Only Affect the Heart—It Can Affect the Body, Too.
Grief can show up in many ways. For some, it’s muscle tension, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, headaches, or simply feeling disconnected from their body.
While massage therapy isn’t a treatment for grief itself, a safe, supportive environment and compassionate therapeutic touch may help ease physical tension, encourage relaxation, and provide comfort during difficult seasons of life. Supporting the body can be one piece of supporting the whole person.
