Awesome testimony from Recovery Alive Inc
The Great Commission is being lived out through Recovery Alive EspaƱol and Celia's story is a beautiful picture of what God is doing through the recovery process. As our Media Leader, Celia faithfully serves every Saturday with a heart full of passion and commitment. Her journey began last year when she joined a Recovery process group and later attended our Spanish interest meetings. Since then, she has continued to faithfully serve and grow in her walk with Christ.
A few weeks ago, during one of our Saturday night Recovery Alive EspaƱol services, as the Holy Spirit was moving and our ministry leader shared about baptism, Celia knew it was time to publicly declare her faith. She took that step of obedience during our June community outreach event, reminding us that recovery is not about having it all together but about trusting Jesus one step at a time. She later shared:
"It's something I've had in my heart for a while, but I hadn't worked up the courage and I think the time has come. I thought I had to be perfect to get baptized, but here I've been understanding that God accepts me with all my defects and I am choosing to put Him first and everything in His hands."
God wasn't finished writing this story. That same day, her husband, Enrrique, also decided to be baptized after giving his life to Jesus during one of our Saturday night Recovery Alive Español services. What started with one courageous step became a testimony for an entire family. Celia and Enrique's story reminds us that when people encounter the unconditional love and amazing grace of Jesus in a safe, supportive community, lives are transformed, families are restored, and hope begins to flourish. Through Recovery Alive Español, we continue to see Jesus meet people right where they are, bringing healing, freedom, and new life to the Hispanic community and beyond...one heart at a time. ”Gloria a Cristo!
