Sometimes the strongest faith is born from the deepest questions.

For many people, questioning long-held beliefs feels terrifying. But what if doubt isn't the opposite of faith? What if it's the beginning of a more honest relationship with yourself... and with the Divine?

In this conversation, Eric shares how losing certainty became the catalyst for discovering a spirituality that was no longer borrowed from others, but lived from direct experience.

Sometimes everything has to fall apart before something more authentic can emerge.

Every tattoo tells a story.

Some tell the story of who we were.

Others remind us of who we've chosen to become.

The symbols we carry can become anchors—quiet reminders of the promises we've made to ourselves, the lessons we've learned, and the path we're committed to walking.

The most meaningful tattoos aren't just seen.

They're lived.

What if birthdays weren't just about celebrating another year...

What if they were an annual initiation?

A chance to pause and ask:

Who am I no longer?

What am I ready to release?

What wants to be born through me next?

Growth rarely happens by adding more.

More often, it happens through letting go.

Every birthday is an invitation to die a little... so that something more authentic can live.

So grateful for our last closing retreat to fall on Linda's birthday. It was such a joy to spend it with her!

We talk about transformation constantly—but most of us don't talk about what transformation actually requires.

Real transformation isn't simply becoming a "better" version of yourself - it is usually a long and complex process.

First, something has to end.

Then comes the messy, uncomfortable space where the old is gone but the new hasn't fully arrived.

And finally, there is embodiment—the point where the change becomes real enough that you begin living differently.

The hardest parts?
> We often wait until Part 1 is pushed upon us instead of choosing it
> We often want to skip Part 2
> And sometimes we think Part 3 happens automatically!

We want answers. We want certainty. We want to know what comes next.

But sometimes the most important thing we can do is stay in the unknown long enough for something authentic to emerge. I had a friend once tell me that this is called "the hallway" and I still think about how accurate that statement was.

What are some examples of transformation that are "forced" on us during life?

When a relationship ends.
When we get fired.
When we get an unexpected illness or car accident.
An identity that falls apart after healing some childhood trauma.

You get the idea..

We can resist the process—or we can participate in it. We can even choose it before it chooses us. That's what our work is all about.

What has been your biggest transformation? What triggered it? And what are your favorite tools or supports to help you through?

What if intuition isn't a gift that only a few people are born with...

What if it's a language that can be remembered?

One of the most unique parts of our last retreat was the opportunity to spend time learning directly from a gifted psychic who has spent decades refining his craft.

Not just to tell you your future.

Not to create dependency.

But to help you develop trust in your own inner knowing.

The greatest teacher doesn't just give you answers.

They help you ask better questions and remember the answers you already have inside of you.

Can't wait to see what's in store for our next mentorship retreat!

This might be one of the most honest things said in the entire conversation.
"I realized I was using spirituality to hide."

Sometimes personal growth becomes another way to avoid the very life that's asking for our attention. In fact, we see it in the spiritual community all the time.

It's easy to chase the next workshop, the next book, the next breakthrough, believing that healing is somewhere "out there." But often the deepest medicine isn't found by escaping our lives—it's found by becoming fully present with the relationships, challenges, and responsibilities already in front of us.

Spirituality isn't about leaving life behind, it's about learning to meet life more completely.

Have you ever caught yourself using growth as a way to avoid what needed your attention?

There are moments in life that deserve to be remembered.

Not because they're trendy.
Not because they look beautiful.
But because something within us has fundamentally changed.

For many cultures throughout history, tattoos weren't decoration—they were milestones. They marked initiations, transformation, devotion, and the becoming of a new self.

Receiving a sacred tattoo during retreat isn't about adding art to your body.

It's about honoring the person you've become.

Some transformations deserve to leave a mark.

✨ This year's closing retreat will once again offer the opportunity to receive sacred tattoo work for those who feel called.

Why do smart, spiritual people still feel stuck in their growth?

Sometimes it’s not because you’re doing something wrong — it’s because growth asks for balance, better information, fresh perspective, relational healing, and real rest.

You don’t always need to push harder.
Sometimes you need to slow down and let the process work.

If this resonates, swipe through and reflect on which one is showing up for you right now.

What helps you move forward when you feel stuck?

One of the most transformative parts of a retreat isn't what's scheduled.

It's the conversations that happen while walking a trail...
sharing breakfast...
or sitting in the living room of an old world psychic we are all waiting to see.

Those moments can't be planned.
But they often become the ones that change everything.

We're counting down to our next retreat. 💚
