If you’ve scrolled past a dozen posts telling you to get it released now, before the window closes, before it’s too late, take a breath. That pressure is loud, and it’s not the full story.
Most of the time, you have time to assess, ask questions, and make an informed choice.
A few things worth knowing:
✨ A functional feeding assessment comes first. How your baby feeds matters more than how the tissue looks.
✨ Other things can look like a tongue tie: positioning, supply, reflux, body tension.
✨ If a release is recommended, preparation and support before and after make a real difference.
One important note: a release is rarely urgent, but a baby who isn’t getting enough to eat can be. Trust your gut.
You don’t have to figure this out alone. 💛 Book a feeding evaluation at the link in our bio.
