This is how too many high school athletes are lifting right now — and nobody’s telling them 👀

We asked this soccer player to show us his RDL. This is what we got.🤨

Then Dr. Dylan gave him a couple of cues…
Boom. Textbook form. 🙌

Bad mechanics don’t just cap your athlete’s performance — they’re how injuries potentially happen. If nobody’s watching your athlete’s form, this is probably happening to them too.

Book a session. We’ll fix it before it becomes a problem.👊🏾

4x Best of Cy-Fair. Best Physical Therapist. Best Sports Medicine. Same result, four years straight 🏆

🚫We don’t do band-aid fixes or “just take it easy” advice. We do real assessments, real hands on treatment, real strength work, and build real relationships. We aren’t just Doctors of Physical Therapy, we are coaches who truly care about your longevity and performance, not just your next visit.

Thank you to every family, athlete, and patient who’s trusted us with their care. This win is yours.

If you’re serious about your health — we’re here. No BS treatments. Just results. 💪🏽

Stability Ball Plank Knee Drives ⚡️

Hip extension. Core stability. Fast hip flexion. 🔥

This one covers all three in a single rep — press through a strong glute-driven plank 💪, then rip the knee in with speed and control before resetting.

It’s deceptively hard: the ball adds an unstable surface that forces the core and hips to work overtime just to keep the pelvis level ⚖️, while the quick knee drive trains the hip flexors to fire fast without losing plank integrity.

Great carryover for sprint mechanics 🏃, change-of-direction, and anti-rotation core strength.
3 sets x 8-10 reps per side ✅

Good luck to everyone going back to school this week! Let us know if you’re looking for an after school job! 😂

💪 My non-negotiable warm-up before any hard training day. This isn’t just “getting loose” — done right, it’s basically its own workout.

👉 The circuit: Assault bike 12 cals → World’s Greatest Stretch 5x→ Lateral Lunges 12x→ Pull-Ups 12x → Push-Ups 12x→ Lateral Raises 12x → a short warm-up run.

🏃🏼‍♂️ I run through it twice. First round wakes the body up — mobility, activation, blood flow to the joints that are about to work. Second round is where heart rate actually climbs and everything starts to feel primed instead of stiff.

🙌 By the time I’m into my actual session, I’m not “warming into” the work — I’m already there. That’s the whole point.

👍 Steal this before your next session and tell me how it feels.

Our athletes continue to impress us every single day 🔥⚾🥎🤼‍♂️⛳️

The discipline, grit, and work ethic they bring to rehab and performance doesn’t go unnoticed.

Returning to sport is more than just “being pain free.” It’s rebuilding strength, power, confidence, movement quality, and sport-specific capacity — so athletes can safely get back to doing what they love.

That’s where skilled PT guidance matters 👊 An individualized plan, appropriate progressions, and preparing the body for the true demands of sport.

Because the goal isn’t just to get back… it’s to come back stronger.

Proud of these athletes and the work they continue to put in 👏

Your spine is designed to move… including into flexion 👀

We spend a lot of time teaching the hip hinge (which is important 💯)… but your lumbar spine should also be able to bend, tolerate load, and build capacity through flexion.

Enter: the Jefferson Curl 🔥

When programmed appropriately, it can help improve:
✅ Segmental spinal mobility
✅ Flexion tolerance + tissue capacity
✅ Hamstring length under load
✅ Control through spinal flexion

How to perform it safely 👇
• Start with BODYWEIGHT or very light load
• Move slowly and segmentally — think one vertebra at a time
• Allow the spine to round gradually (don’t just hip hinge)
• Only go as far as you can control comfortably
• Return slowly by “stacking” the spine back up
• Progress load gradually over time

Like any exercise, dosage matters ⚡ Not everyone needs Jefferson curls, and they should be individualized to your goals, symptoms, and training background.

A strong back isn’t just one that avoids movement — it’s one that can handle movement in multiple directions 💪
