The Officers and Directors of Bunton Cemetery would like to express sympathy to the family of Preston Puryear who was born on April 3, 2018, and passed away on June 24, 2026, at the age of 8.
His visitation and funeral service was held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Lytton Springs Baptist Church with burial afterwards at the Bunton Cemetery in Dale, Texas.
OBITUARY
Preston Puryear, the eldest son of Sheldon and Arden Puryear, was welcomed in the arms of Jesus on June 24, 2026, at the tender age of 8. He was born in Kyle, Texas on April 3, 2018.
Preston was a typical 8-year-old, who enjoyed Minecraft, Spiderman, Star Wars and being crafty especially with Legos. He loved riding his 4-wheeler, going to grandma's and church.
Preston's absence will leave a void in his parents’ hearts and his younger siblings, Noah Puryear and Samuel Puryear; his grandparents Annette Puryear, Raymond Puryear and Lorie Haynes. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Amanda and Braxton Wise and cousins Addison, Laurel and Beau.
Preston was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his great grandmothers, Sissy Puryear and Nancy Nielsen, and great grandfather, Howard Nielsen.
The family will receive friends and family at Lytton Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, June 27 with a visitation at 9 am and the funeral service at 9:30 am before the burial at Bunton Cemetery.
