A Texas woman is suing pro-life activists.

She is suing for the cost of raising her children she never intended to have, using a pro-life law against an organization that rallied for it to be put in place. Ridiculous and a total publicity stunt.

But… it made me ask myself a question: Has anyone asked this woman what she actually needs?

I wrote more about this today. I'd love your thoughts.

An outrageous lawsuit against Students for Life raises a question every pro-life Christian should be willing to ask: Are our convictions as visible in our compassion as they are in our opposition?

$400 per table of four

What to expect:
- Two full hours of open mahjong play (not tournament-style competition)
- A delicious charcuterie-style spread featuring bagels, fruit, meats, cheeses, and more
- A brief program highlighting the mission and impact of Prestonwood Pregnancy Center
- Exciting raffle opportunities! Players will receive a raffle ticket and trinket for each mahjong win, with additional tickets available for purchase.

Last night, we witnessed a powerful reminder of why this ministry exists.

A young woman who had scheduled an out-of-state abortion for this morning called our center last night with one request: she wanted to see her baby “one more time.”

At 8pm, she walked through our doors. Our incredible medical team stayed with her until 10pm, taking the time to care for her and help her recognize the precious life growing inside her.

Before the night was over, she canceled her abortion appointment and chose life.

The image you see here is the very life she came to see “one more time.” Today, that little life has a different story.

I share this with a heart full of gratitude for our extraordinary medical team, who faithfully serve women in their most vulnerable moments, and for each of you who continually cover this ministry in prayer.

Moments like these remind us that every life is precious, every encounter matters, and God is faithfully at work through this ministry.

To God be all the glory.

What if the greatest distraction facing the pro-life movement isn't coming from those who support abortion, but from within our own ranks?

Somewhere along the way, we've become so determined to prove we're right that we've forgotten we're fighting for the same lives.

We are distracted by the moment and losing sight of the mission.

Perhaps what our nation needs most isn't a winning strategy, but a mighty revival. Because laws can change behavior, but only God can transform hearts.

One of the things I love most about the work we get to do at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center is that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story.
 
Holly Shivers saw that in a new way when she came from serving on our board to joining our staff. She has had the privilege of seeing up close how the ministry impacts women, families, and dads who walk through our doors.
 
She shared one story with me today of a young woman who came to us unexpectedly pregnant, afraid, and unsure of what to do. That first appointment became the beginning of a story that would impact not only her life, but her faith and the life of her boyfriend as well.
 
Those are the stories that remind us why this ministry matters.

I got to visit with my good friend and colleague, Alana, our Director of Client Services and one of our licensed professional counselors.

Because of the generosity of our supporters, we’re able to offer free counseling at all of our locations, walking alongside clients through pregnancy, postpartum, miscarriage, post-abortion experiences, and other difficult seasons.

Alana has given her best yes to serving here, using the gifts God has given her to care for our clients and lead our Client Services team. When you support Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, you are partnering with people like Alana who are faithfully answering God’s call to serve.
