A parasite is making North Texans sick.
Texas health officials are tracking a rise in cyclosporiasis, an intestinal illness from a parasite called Cyclospora, spread through contaminated produce. Symptoms: watery diarrhea, cramps, nausea, fatigue, and loss of appetite — often lasting weeks and coming back even after you start to feel better.
This isn’t a typical stomach bug, and it doesn’t go away on its own. It needs professional medical attention.
If you’re dealing with these symptoms — or any emergency need — we’ve got you. All 6 ER of Texas locations are open 24/7 with no wait times and no appointment needed.
