Policing has changed significantly since John & I were on the job. We're discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly. Our guest John Edmonson will be with us to offer guidance and real solutions to address and bolster our mental resiliency.

John is the former Director of Wellness at Healing Springs Ranch in Tioga, TX. A bilingual therapist with a B.A. in Spanish (minors in Psychology and Communication) from The University of Texas and an M.S. in Counseling from Texas A&M, he is a licensed Counseling Supervisor in Texas and certified as a K-12 teacher and school counselor. Renowned for program planning and management, John leads education and training for medical and mental health clinicians, focusing on first responder su***de prevention and post traumatic stress, while promoting ethical, holistic care to enhance clients’ lives and empower self-care and personal growth.

John is the creator and lead instructor of the Peer Support Leadership Training, which includes essential components of resiliency training for A Badge of Honor.

A Badge of Honor offers workshops to first responders across the nation, working with mental health liasons and critical incident management teams for Post Traumatic Stress Injury Recovery, wellness and resilience. A Badge of Honor says, "We Hear You," and wants you to know you are not alone. A Badge of Honor is a non-profit partner with Carry The Load as part of their Continuum of Care program.

Robert is a retired NYPD Detective with over twenty years of service.
