I think one of the sweetest parts of a healthy relationship is knowing that neither of you is going to stay exactly the same.

Life changes. People grow. Needs shift. And you get the opportunity to keep getting to know the person you chose. ❤️✨

For those of you in long-term relationships, what have you had to learn about loving your partner as they’ve grown?

One of the things I appreciate about this conversation is the reminder that healthy relationships still require us to look at ourselves.

Your partner benefits from your growth too.

For the married folks: what’s something marriage has taught you about yourself that you probably wouldn’t have learned otherwise? ❤️✨

We talk a lot about learning someone’s love language so we know how to love them well, but it can also teach us how to recognize the ways they’re loving us.

Your partner may not always express love the way you would, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t expressing it.❤️✨

What’s something your partner does that you’ve learned is their way of saying, “I love you”?

Have you ever had to admit that you really liked someone, but y’all just didn’t work well together? 👀😭

What helped you finally recognize that liking each other wasn’t enough?❤️✨

We spend a lot of time talking about what husbands and wives should do for one another, but I like hearing people talk about what they genuinely value about being married.❤️✨

For him, support and knowing he has someone who loves him through it all means a lot.

Married folks, what do you value most about having your person?

I think one of the interesting things about relationships is realizing how much there still is to learn about someone as life changes.❤️✨

You see them in different situations, different seasons and under different kinds of pressure.

For those of you in long-term relationships, what did you learn about your partner later that you never would’ve known in the beginning? 👀

Waiting is hard, especially when you’ve been praying about something for a long time and still don’t see movement.

I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to focus so much on what hasn’t happened yet that we miss what God may be doing in us while we wait.

I don’t want to measure God’s faithfulness by His speed. I want to be able to look at this season and ask, “What are You teaching me here? How are You growing me? What do I need to learn while I’m here?”

I may not understand all of it right now, but I can still trust God while I wait. ❤️✨

What has God been teaching you in your waiting season?

There can be so much pressure around when women are “supposed” to have children.

But plenty of women are becoming mothers later in life. If your timeline looks different than you imagined, that doesn’t mean you have to give up on the desire to become a mother. ❤️✨

Has your idea of the “right” age to have children changed as you’ve gotten older?
