Good news first: the bulk of GLP-1 weight loss is fat.

Body-composition studies show that when people lose weight on a GLP-1, most of what comes off is fat — which is the whole point. Some lean tissue goes along with it, which is true of essentially any significant weight loss. Researchers are studying two straightforward countermeasures for that part: getting enough protein, and keeping some resistance training in the week. Not a warning — just the part of the picture the scale can't show you.
