Repost from

You made it to Sunday. And if this week had any weight to it at all, you probably felt every bit of it. ❤️‍🩹

A lot of us carry guilt about resting. Like stopping is a betrayal of everything still on the list. Like the only way to deserve a break is to finish everything first.

When you rest, your non-conscious mind is doing some of its most important work. Sorting through the week. Processing what hurt. Filing away what you learned. Preparing the mental ground for what comes next. Sunday is when that work finally gets to go somewhere.

Our research tells a different story than the culture does: a mind that never stops accumulates stress patterns faster than it can release them. Rest is how the mind stays healthy enough to keep showing up.

So today, let yourself stop. Your mind has been waiting all week for the chance.

Send this to the friend who’s been running on fumes and calling it fine. 🫂

The older I get, the less interested I am in winning arguments.

I’d rather have peace than the last word.
I’d rather have humility than pride.
I’d rather have wisdom than ego.

Protecting your peace starts with protecting your heart. 🤎

Trauma is time travel

You can be successful self-aware and still feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, like too much, triggered...

This is because your Nervous System is not responding to the present, but rather, it’s responding to a pattern that it learned a long time ago

This is also why “just calm down” doesn’t work (hint: your body is not asking for logic)

Your body needs real safety (to update the system)

So the work is not becoming a different person (you are perfectly built, my friend!) but helping your body realize that you’re not there anymore

I’m rooting for you

Mental health is now the worlds top health concern, overtaking cancer for the first time in global survey of 23,667 people across 31 countries. This is not a statistic to scroll past.

NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman, not a religious man, was so profoundly impacted by a celestial event in space that he sought out a Navy chaplain, overcome with emotion upon seeing the cross.

His experience, shared with fellow astronaut Victor Glover, reveals how truly “otherworldly” God’s creation is, humbling even the most scientifically advanced.

This powerful encounter showcases how God’s magnificent artistry can awaken a deep spiritual understanding in anyone.

🌟 Embracing Independence and Resilience in Our Children 🌟

As parents, one of our greatest joys is seeing our children grow into responsible, resilient individuals. It’s a journey marked by lessons learned, independence gained, and self-awareness blossoming. Today, let’s encourage our kids to embrace these valuable lessons as they navigate the path of growing up.

🌱 **Embracing Independence:** Giving our children the space to make decisions, learn from their mistakes, and explore their own paths fosters a sense of independence. Just as a tree needs room to spread its branches, our children thrive when they’re given the freedom to discover their own strengths and passions.

🧠 **Developing Self-Awareness:** Helping our kids understand their emotions, strengths, and limitations is key to building resilience. By encouraging self-reflection and mindfulness, we empower them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and grace.

💪 **Building Resilience:** Life is full of ups and downs, but it’s how we respond to adversity that truly shapes us. Teaching our children resilience means instilling in them the belief that they have the strength to overcome obstacles and grow stronger in the process.

📖 **Biblical Scripture:** “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” - Proverbs 22:6. This verse reminds us of the importance of guiding our children with love and wisdom, trusting that the values we instill in them will remain with them throughout their lives.
