Mini Hooves of Love, is a non profit 501c(3) charity. Sometimes we need someone to simply be there, not to do anything, but let us feel cared about.

Our handlers/horses are all registered with PetPartners. We are a non-profit organization, serving the DFW area, who schedules visits to bring smiles to children in medical care facilities, children with disabilities, schools, geriatrics, veterans, first responders and their families. We also offer an Anti-Bullying program to schools and groups of children called "Just Say WHOA To Bullying". Hospice visits are provided as requested. We can arrange for Scouts and groups to work on badges or service projects. Outside of DFW with special arrangements.

Dump of the photos on Levi’s walkabout that was promised. There were so many so put them in a grouping. If there is a specific one you’d like to see by itself, point it out and I’ll post it in the comments.

Levi did very well and had some new experiences that required him trusting me. I do have one that is not included that will be posted sometime.

Yay it’s Friday!
These pics were taken yesterday morning when I let them out. Drastic change between then and today. It’s now 58 with a real feel of 52 and only to climb to 63! 😳

Have things we need to do today and tomorrow. Cover the chicken run, take a load to the dump and go get hay. All of which could do without the winds we are now getting. High winds with gusts 40+mph. 😖

I will post Levi’s adventure later this morning but the pictures here were too good to not post.

Well, as you can see once again I didn’t get the post made this afternoon. Someday I’ll have a rich uncle leave me enough money to stay home. LOL whom am I kidding - I have no rich uncle 😆 … and honestly all my uncles are deceased.

Now for the news I was going to share - as you can see in the pictures, the historic ‘Reading Tree’ is gone!!! Some of you may remember that the tree was hit by lightning 2 maybe 3 years ago and it split half into. They tried hard to save it, bringing in horticulture experts, but if I understand correctly, recent storms in July hit it again. Sadly it fell and they had to take it down. But … I also was told they have kept part of it and making something inside the hospital to display and keep the tribute to its history and the Haggard family that once owned the land for well over a hundred years and many generations. We have visited with many children under the tree. We can’t wait to be able to see what they do with it.

As many of you know, Levi went to Children's Health at the hospital in Plano yesterday. We had a few kiddos come out. It was a small group and some come up to Levi and petted him while others watched. We had some adults come out on break and we got pictures with a few of them.

This afternoon will share a bit of sad news from the hospital.

After our visit Levi and I went on a hike around the creek that runs by. There is a walking trail. Pics from that tomorrow. 😊

Levi had a bath for his visit today. He wasn’t keen on all the prep but did very well overall.

Can’t wait to share photos tomorrow. Course we can’t take photos of the kids but we did get a couple of willing staff that came over to visit … and then Levi and I went on a hike! More to come. Might spread it out Thursday and Friday.

It’s a cloudy day. The rain didn’t come last evening so Will will see if it comes today.

Lots going on today. The farrier for Hope and Hero comes this morning. I have to get a horse bathed to go to Children’s Plano this afternoon. Who to take is the question. One of the boys … thinking Levi. He needs more experience.

Good Tuesday morning. Another warm day up to 90 degrees with possible rain this afternoon- looks like greater chance is late evening with a repeat tomorrow.

Lady has felt good enough to go out with the herd. She is actually asking to do so. Don’t know if it’s the calm before the storm as they say but I don’t make her go out. It’s her choice. Test of the herd is Doug fine. Farrier for the two littles comes tomorrow.

Our ‘Read With Me’ at the Tom Bean Elementary School was a wonderful experience from the teacher that invited us to the staff, teachers and all the students. There are so many pictures of three different groups that came to participate. We will separate the reading pictures, and again sorry we can’t post them all, Then we got mobbed as it was time to go. Lots more cut pics will post this afternoon about two.

Good morning. Today’s video is from last night bringing them in.
Was super tired and didn’t post it last night as I came in the house and went to bed and overslept this morning. Good news is the cabin is is done and he can start moving in.
Took us almost a year but little by little working weekends as weather permitted. So that’s one project out of the way.

Back to the horses - we also were working on mowing yesterday. Got the front moved and backyard. Stated the back pasture but didn’t get it finished. After church we will tackle it and the front pasture, hopefully getting them both done.
