Mini Hooves of Love Miniature Therapy Horses Mini Hooves of Love, is a non profit 501c(3) charity. Sometimes we need someone to simply be there, not to do anything, but let us feel cared about.

Our handlers/horses are all registered with PetPartners. We are a non-profit organization, serving the DFW area, who schedules visits to bring smiles to children in medical care facilities, children with disabilities, schools, geriatrics, veterans, first responders and their families. We also offer an Anti-Bullying program to schools and groups of children called "Just Say WHOA To Bullying". Hospi

ce visits are provided as requested. We can arrange for Scouts and groups to work on badges or service projects. Outside of DFW with special arrangements.

It’s going to be another scorching day with temperature reaching a toasty 104 this afternoon.

Pictured are our two mini dwarfs - Hope and Hero. Look how l-o-n-g Hope’s tail is!!! They are in the dry lot with Lady.

Hope wherever you are that you are safe and well. So many wildfires all across our nation.

I won’t be holding my breath for it to rain here but it sure would be a blessing even if it makes us feel like we are in a sauna afterwards. Slim chance is better than no chance. Will say there is a nice northern breeze. 😁

These are the cracks in the ground that we are dealing with. Filling them each day with the muck from their stalls. This is the main reason Hope and Hero stay in the dry lot with Lady, although having to fill in cracks there too but lot more manageable.

Forecast says to be 103 with a breezy afternoon with a chance of thunderstorms in ‘some’ areas. Not holding my breath for that to be here. 🤣

Gonna be another blazing hot day!

Came home yesterday with hubby discing the pasture. The dogs run a lot there and he seen Roxie running and one leg went into one of those deep cracks and down she went. Seems to be okay but Jim disc the area to get rid of the crevices. She’s okay by the way. Cracks in the pasture can’t get filled with muck fast enough. Hate to stall them but very close to it. We NEED rain 🌧️.

Gonna be the hottest day of the week if forecast is accurate. Temp starting at 81 this morning and to reach 106 degrees this afternoon. Dallas, with all its concrete to reach 108! At least a couple of weeks we will drop into the 90’s. 🥵

Pictured is Monarch and Levi. Look how small they are considering that’s a 4 ft fence behind them. They are several feet away but still you can tell they are pretty small. Monarch is happily grazing while on the other hand Levi wants to groom.

Hope: Are you ready to let us in? It’s hot 🥵 out here?

Me: Almost ready, Sweetie. Hay and forage is ready. Just have to finish getting everyone some fresh water.

Temps running 104 and tomorrow to be 106! And that’s in the country. City is worse with all the concrete, asphalt etc. it’s to be 107 today in Dallas, so we will not be going to Children’s Hospital today. But it was cancelled because they are having an event with all the therapy dogs. “Dog Days of Summer”. Talked of rescheduling to Friday but it’s to be 106 so no.

Stay cool and hydrated out there.

Good morning to all. Don’t know about you guys but I didn’t want to rise and shine this morning. Yawn 🥱
We desperately NEED a slow steady rain to heal this land. The first picture is of the boys (Monarch, Valor & Levi) heading out for another day in this extreme heat day, with temperature rising to 105! (They have access to fresh water.) The second picture shows what the ground is doing - cracking and getting bigger each day. Only have so much poo to help fill them. It’s too the point of being dangerous for them to go out into the pasture yet staying cooped up in their stalls is not the best solution either. 🥵
